Wheels and tires

Hey everyone so I have been looking for wheels and tires recently, have not found anything yet, but I want to get some opinions before I keep searching. More than likely i will get some oem takeoffs something from the 2014 track pack or 2015 performance pack. The thing is I want as wide as I can go since I like the look but also don’t want to lose performance due too much tire. Basically I want to run something like a stock 255/40/19 up front and a 275-295 in the back. My cars a stock v6 other than intake really. Oh I should also mention I have the 215 premium v6 rims on there. I enjoy both driving down curvy roads and my straight line runs. So what’s the best setup in everyone’s opinion is it best to stick to 255 all around because it’s too much tire for a v6 or will running wider tires out back help both handling and acceleration. Lastly will I see improvement in my 0 to 60 times seeing as I’m going to more of a performance oriented tire size or will I lose performance because of the extra weight. I know it’s kind of a long post but thanks everyone.

Going staggered will hurt handling. 255/40/19 on all 4 corners would be perfect for you. And then you can rotate them.

If you want more performance? Headers/midpipe/catback (full exhaust), gears, suspension and a good tune from an actual custom/remote tuner. Stay away from the canned tunes like Bama and the Steeda mail order ones.

275/40 19's all around on mine.
BTW some tires turn better than others and some go straight better than others, mine turn.

Yeah, really no such thing as "too much tire" on something that weighs 3600+ lbs.

What width are those 19's? Any rubbing in the front?

They are the 302s 9 inch wheels and no rubbing. I am lowered .8/1.2 on it also.

Hey everyone thanks for the input. Sorry I didn't get back to you guys sooner i have been pretty busy lately. I did end up getting new wheels and tires. I went with 255/40/19's off of the black accent package mustang. Only bad part was it came with a whole new car so they were a bit expensive

Let us see it...... 2018?? If a 550 please advise on drive line vibrations. The fear of that and the reported A/C evap replacement every 12 to 18 months keeps me very happy in my S197 (that only has 19,700 miles on it).

That's one way to get the wheels you want on your car. I literally laughed so hard at reading this as well.

I agree. I have 4 NT05's. Bought two extra as I got them for almost half price and it's hard to find 295/40R18's.

Anyway, just picked up 2, 18 x 10's AM wheels and going to stuff 2 on and front and see if they fit.

Even though my car is set up for drag racing, going to take it on a road course once, just for kicks.

Yes, thanks they did. Don't want to hijack this thread any more than I have with details.
