Re: GT350 Announced

Wow....33k in addition to buying a new GT? Ouch. That's going to be a tough one there.

And, whipple boosting on a motor running 11:1 compression? That makes it seem like they won't be running too much boost right there.

While I like the fact they are bringing back the GT350 finally after years of talking about it, I think they should have made it the V6 model like they had originally discussed. I'm not sure this version will sell very will because you won't be able to up the boost much and it will be priced above the existing GT500 that has already proven it can take some increased boost.

11:1 compression + boost + street gas = worried little camper when mashing the loud pedal.

Re: GT350 Announced

wow, there is NO way it should be priced OVER a gt500... what were they thinking... oh yea... they were thinking the name "SHELBY" sells itself for any price

2011 Shelby GT-350 Mustang

As this article says, this is not going to be a car that is available to anyone. It's gonna be an instant collectors item, and they won't be overpriced for the select few who will be able to get their hands on one.

because they can. If you had a bag of chips and someone wanted to pay 1 dollar for them and another person 100 million... which would you take?

Re: GT350 Announced

The new GT350 is SWEET both looks and power!!! I think the Whipple supercharger on the 5.0L is a great combo, it's gonna have about 550 HP. Plus, all the other upgrades from Shelby: Baer 6 Piston Brakes, Shelby Suspension, Shelby body kit and all the other goodies. It's definitely worth the money!!!

Re: GT350 Announced

Worth 60+k? I'd rather get a gt500 for the less money and not be maxed out in power.

Re: GT350 Announced

okay forget the price. the new GT 350 has really captured the "look" of the orginal 350's.
If i had the green I'd be getting one!(come on powerball )
On the plus side, I'm sure there will be aftermarket look-a-like kits in short order.

Re: GT350 Announced

My first impressions were not that good on the car, but I am going to wait till I see one up close. I have been told that the car takes on a different look in person.
I like the change in the rear lights but the single rear exhaust I am not sure about. I think side pipes would have looked nicer also.

Re: GT350 Announced

It's got real visual impact. Seeing the performance/exhaust note at the track-on the video clip-almost brought a tear to my eye... I sure wish I could afford one...
