Is this an ok deal?

So there seem to be a lot of rebates and incentives this month with the 5.0 coming soon. I'm looking to get a good deal on a new 2010 GT Premium. The one i'm looking at has a MSRP of 32935. With rebates its 29435.

What do you all think?

Re: Is this an ok deal?

Hmm...with ttl and dealer fees the final price will probably be around the MSRP. I almost wonder if Ford will offer bigger incentives closer to the release of the 5.0 and the 2011's.

Fortunately for Ford, and unfortunately for some potential buyers such as yourself looking for a good deal, the deals probably won't be as good as they were a couple of years ago now that Ford is doing way better. At the time, one could pick up a new 08 GT with options in 09 for 18k.

I agree with texasgt/cs, I'd almost wait until the 5.0 GT comes out...it definitely won't disappoint, but then some bugs will have to be worked out with the first line of models.

Maybe one of the guys who works at a dealership can offer some purchase advice.

Re: Is this an ok deal?

Sorry, I left out some info. That number includes sales tax and all dealer fees.

Re: Is this an ok deal?

And I'm not too worried about the fact that the 5.0 is going to be faster. I'm more concerned that it may be too early to jump on a 2010. Like that maybe the deals will get even better in a month or two. What do you guys think?

Re: Is this an ok deal?

Well if that $29,435 is basically out the door, then that's a fairly good deal. You could chance it and wait another month or two...I'd hate to see you wait and then Ford decides to reduce the current rebates being offered...it all depends on which set outside sales team working for Ford Motor Company for that particular dealer decides for that time.

I'd wait if you could, once the '11 hits the lots they'll be throwing the '10's out the door.

Too late to wait, i took the plunge! I didn't want to chance not getting exactly what i want by waiting until may. Got 3.5k in rebates, pretty ok trade in value, and a decent rate.

Re: Is this an ok deal?

glad you got what you wanted, I have a feeling the 2010s as all years do will get rebates to move the when the much more potent 2011s roll out... but knowing ford dealers they will jack up the price on the 2011's an the 2010s will be more looked after since most cant afford the ADM's ford will try to get.

Yeah they are going to get the average joe and he only wants to pay X amount, well Mr. Joe, I got a deal for you. For only $75 more a month you can have this 2010 GT.. It's got everything. They will jack up the price on the 11's to make sure that they can move all the 10's. Plus when you are comparing numbers the '10 will seem cheaper. It's the same in the shoe biz. We do that all the time.
