very nice, stock about where an 03/04 cobra is stock then has room to grow by 40rwhp or more (probably room left on the table when it comes to learning the new ECU) not bad.

But is that tune gonna be ok with a CAI? From the talk I've been hearing it could be a 450 WHP car with just bolt ons.

That would be crazy. Does anyone know the rwhp these car could hold on the stock internals? Cause the 05-10 were only good for about 450rwhp. Im assuming with a blower these things can see 550rwhp pretty easily. I cant see that being safe.

Re: Evolutions 2011 GT dyno #'s

Some guys on S197 forums have been runnin their Prochargers at 10-11 psi and makin 490+ with no issues (05-10 cars) I wouldnt push it that much but its all in the tune and how and what your use for the car is.The 2011 compression is different than the 05-10 so that will be a issue for them.

Yes it just seems to me that the car is gonna be pretty much topped out as soon as you get it.

I dont think thats the case, you will still have some room to play and with some minor bolt ons you can have yourself one damn quick little pony.

Re: Evolutions 2011 GT dyno #'s

figure 8psi would be a safe limit on the 2011s, they do have oil coolers in each cyl that help, so who knows... might take more. The rods will be the first thing to go probably.

Re: Evolutions 2011 GT dyno #'s

From what i have read in alot of articles over the past few months, one of fords goals was to make this engine "mod ready" meaning it is ready as is for a supercharger to be put on it (8-9psi). id like to see that as soon as one of these companies comes out with a supercharger for the 11 model.

Re: Evolutions 2011 GT dyno #'s

HOW SOON ALL HAVE FORGOTTEN: The S197 is a 2005-2009 model. The current platform came out as a 2010-this is the newer body style. It's some of the 2010 folk that are going to feel "cheated" with the 5.0 returning in the 2011 model- which is the same platform/chassis.
I'd be a little upset-if I had "bellied up" and purchased a 2010 GT..

Re: Evolutions 2011 GT dyno #'s

2010 customers should get some kind of treatment for getting the shaft,I know I would be pissed. This also means we will see a price drop in the gt500's and Terms. I've already seen a 2008 gt500 with under 10k on the clock priced for $32.9K

Re: Evolutions 2011 GT dyno #'s

IMO, there's no way Ford released this engine "maxed out". They have to realize, the Mustang is the most modded car ever, and the aftermarket is huge. When the '05 came out, they had already released cars to some of the tuners and aftermarket companies (Steeda comes to mind), so they could have aftermarket parts ready upon the release of the car. And the compition isn't that far behind (stock for stock, the SS is close), so Ford is gonna be on their game, ready to up the ante for the next year when the chevy boys step up theirs. So if they did leave some on the table, you know the tuners are gonna figure out how to get it out! The bow ties have displacment, we have technology on our side! Similar power out of less cubes! What I want to know is: What is the power these 5.0's are really putting out? Did Ford sandbag the numbers? They are sure kicking some butt on youtube and in all the popular rags!

yea if you do the math unless they are losing VERY little in the driveline they are underrated.
