Talking New to mustangs and forums

Hello from Las Vegas all,

I just bought my first Mustang and I'm very happy with the decision

My car is white and I just finished tinting the windows (limo) this last Saturday and it looks great.

Just wondering if someone had a direct link to a place that sells the black Lemans racing stripes (2) that go from the bottom back to bottom front? I was specifically looking for the one's that had the extra thin outside lines (because imo it looks way better than the reg 2 bold lines alone).

Also, planning on putting the rocker decals on the sides (blk).

It's gonna be a black 'n white theme for my baby!! =D

Hope to hear from people, and make new friends.

Welcome!

White w/tint is probably one of the best color combos for a desert area..

And it sure does look good, too!

Re: New to mustangs and forums

By the way, I found 4 websites that offer the same product (Lemans Stripes)...
Could there be a difference in quality?? Becuase there is a big price difference from website to website.

I'd like to hear your opinions....

#1. American Muscle ($115)
#2. Graphic Express ($197)
#3. Mustang Depot ($199)
#4. Cal Muscle Parts ($248)

Re: New to mustangs and forums

Generally American Muscle is the real deal...their products are pretty good and they stand by them. Looking at the comments tells you a lot. Overall the lemans stripes got decent reviews...it definitely sounds like it'd be better to have a shop install them, but if you are experienced doing it you could put them on.

I've heard of Graphic Express and Mustang Depot, but nothing about there products or the company.

I personally really like American Muscle & Atomic Performance and have been very happy with their service and everything I've bought from both sites.

Re: New to mustangs and forums

American Muscle sells great stripes, I will tell you what I have told anyone else who has asked.
The stripes are great quality. They give you more than enough to cover your car front bottom to back bottom. They withstand the heat without bubbling IF you take your time and do a great install. The only bubbling I have experienced in Texas heat is where I rushed the install and didn't get all the tiny bubbles out to begin with. But it doesn't matter because I can always replace part of the stripe with the left over material.
The install takes a long time. It is not difficult, just long, and you have to be willing to go slow and do it right if you are going to do it yourself.
Someone correct me if I am wrong, but the strips are not sold with the thin outside lines. You have to cut the thin lines yourself from the material. I myself had planned on doing this, but I realized how much longer I would have to spend to do that. Extra measuring, cutting, everything.
I suppose you could have it done by someone else, but I would oversee it to make sure everything is on straight, especially those thin lines.
Hope that helps.
