Exclamation HELP 2010 Gt Start up Problem

Hi, i got a 2010 Gt with flowmaster, 409s to be exact.
in the morning (cold start) it does not rev up to warm up!!!
I think am aware that a normal mustang should do this at the startup ,
But mine since i brought it on Feb, it has never done that the RPM stays lower than 1,000 rpm right when i start him up.....
(NOTE THE LINK IS NOT MY CAR<IF YOU WANT TO HEAR MY CAR MY USER NAME IS VOLVO3231)
Thanks.....

im confused. your car is not supposed to just rev up on its own. and definately not as much as that one. that was just a guy sitting in the car pressing down the pedal. who told you it was supposed to do that?

I think what he's saying is that when he starts the car up when cold, it's not idling at a higher rate then normal - which is typical behavior for the first minute or so until it begins to warm up. Not sure it's a huge issue unless he goes to drive it and it stalls or acts like it wants to stall.

Yea, thats what i mean, today i started my car and as soon i started it was on 500 rpm, and stay like that.. after it warm up it was at 700 rpm.
i dont know whats wrong, i took my car several times to my dealer, but they cant find anything wrong with it..
a friend of mine said it might be the TPS but i have no idea if that is the problem....

Re: HELP 2010 Gt Start up Problem

Are you having stalling issues when at idle or any loss of power?

Yes, Flowmaster Classic American Thunder 409s.
It does not have the engine light on neither the service needed,or anything like that.

I'd stay on the dealer and demand it be fixed. You're under bumper to bumper warranty so stay on them.

Time to find another dealer if this one is that incompetent.

I know there is a TSB out on the 06 V6. I had a similar issue it would hesitate especially when cold. One day it took me a few minutes to start it. So I took it in to the dealer and they flashed the computer, it's worked fine since.

Re: HELP 2010 Gt Start up Problem

when mine is cold and I start it the idle is higher for a bit (warm up cycle) not sure if ford removed this on the 2010, you can ask them to see.

Re: HELP 2010 Gt Start up Problem

Could it be something wrong with the cold start up idle being off, don't know if there is a setting for that. I know mine is like SpectorV says, it will idle at about 1200 for a few seconds then gradually come back down to about 750.

Not a bad thought. The ECU program could have corruption not allowing it to turn up the idle circuit on start up. Could also have a bad temp sensor misreading a condition causing the idle circuit not to go high. So much plumbing under that hood it'll take a diagnostics computer and a geek to figure out the problem.

Miss the simple mills of the 60s.

Re: HELP 2010 Gt Start up Problem

Sounds like the Mass Air Flow Sensor....Try disconnecting the battery and allowing the ECU to reprogram, because of the new exhaust.
