Possible Boss Production Numbers.

Some of you meet John Clor when we went to Tupelo earlier this year. He has a new book coming out next year on the Boss.

In the description at Borders online it states the new Boss will be made for 2 year and limited to 4000 a year.

Boss Mustang: The Return of the Baddest Mustang of All Time - John Clor - Hardcover (ISBN 9780760340691) - Buy Books, Music and Movies at Borders

at only 4000 a year you wont really get to see many and they will all have a HUGE dealership ADM stuck on it... feel proud ford.

I can't wait to see the car in real life. Glad this won't be a high volume production vehicle.

Maybe, remember the GT 500 was supposed to be limited also.

Well, as was the 03 Cobra....Bullit....Mach 1 (I'm sure we'll have another soon) Ford makes money and keeps pushing them out.

Re: Possible Boss Production Numbers.

its only considered limited if they put a limit when production starts rather than just making what they can sell~ I dont remember the GT500 ever being limited, I think dealers used that BS to raise up prices... now there are probably more GT500s than 03/04 cobras lol

Re: Possible Boss Production Numbers.

I agree. The factory wants to use marketing/"buzz" words(always done in advertising, such as "natural")to generate interest. "Limited production to 500 units only", versus 'about 4000ish'. I personally would like to see a Bullitt, MaCh 1, Cobra edition-not the GT500 with the 5.4-but a Cobra with a blower-installed atop the new 302!!

Re: Possible Boss Production Numbers.

This ride's very nice! Got mustang myself. Anyway, I'd like to take this chance to congratulate Ford for the Marketer of the Year award. They deserve it for the good performance in terms of profit this year despite the very depressed economy. Recession left great craters in America's economic landscape, and the auto industry fared no better. Auto bailout monies may have been a life preserver for one of the most dysfunctional automakers, however the aftereffects of accepting the cash without doubt damaged the reputation of the neediest companies. Ford took the brave route and declined to accept Troubled Asset Relief Program money, and that move has paid off in respect from peers and customers. Now Automotive News accounts that that exact same respect has earned Ford the 2010 “Marketer of the Year” award from Advertising Age magazine.

Re: Possible Boss Production Numbers.

ya thats what they said about my Mach 1 , about 5,000 a year ,for 1 year , but the demand for the car changed that , they pushed production to 2 years ,i think they ended up around 15,000?? for the 2 years .......... if people want them they'll make them !!!

Re: Possible Boss Production Numbers.

^^ you would hope, but im not so sure. They may only make X of them (true limited car) and thats it, they wont make to demand.

That is true! I work for a Organic/Natural Food Distributor and one of the many things that I have to do is make sure that some of the stuff is actually natural by checking the ingredients and making sure they are "clean" ingredients. It's a sales gimmick for a lot because a lot of the things labeled as natural are, in fact, definitely NOT natural.

Just thought I'd share. haha.

Anyways,
Beautiful car.
