Re: Is this a good deal on a 2010 Mustang?

31k is a TON of miles for a 2010. I was you and cared about performance I would wait and get a used 2011 with the far superior motor (305hp vs 210) and 6 speed AND better MPG.

Re: Is this a good deal on a 2010 Mustang?

Yes, it has 31,000 Kilometers on it (that about 20,000 miles for my American brothers). I know the 2011 have more power but they are also almost double in price.

I would wait for a cheaper 2011 but I would also avoid it solely for the high miles but that's just me.

Yeah, I am in Canada. I guess that would make it not sound like a good deal otherwise. A 2011 version of the same car is around $37,500 for the same features. Way out of my range.

Nearly impossible-unless you pay ca$h. (You could finance and head to Canada-then what would the recourse, for said Lender, be-with their collateral over in Canada ?)
If that's Canuck bucks-that's a great deal -even with a few more miles than "average"..

Well, canuck bucks aren't far off from US bucks these days....that 21,500 CD is 21,291 USD...so it's not that much better.

For a convertible, with basically average miles and leather and auto....it's not a horrible deal. You could probably find a better one out there if you are patient...or you could probably talk the dealership down another couple 2 or 3 grand to make it a good deal.

Don't forget the import tax you'd have to pay on it as well...cash deal or not.

Wait a minute...an indian in toronto? not a chance!!!!! lol

I married a girl from Missisauga...it seemed like 90% of the population in that area is either asian or indian/pakistanian/etc. Her school passed a rule that let boys carry their knives with them. Amazing stuff.

I went to the dealer last night to talk. They would not budge one cent. Disappointed this morning as it doesn't look to be in the cards at the moment. But wouldn't be the first time I've let a dealer stew for a few days and then they drop the price.

That's the thing....lots of 2010 models will be appearing on lots....if a dealer doesn't want to deal on a car they probably offered 14-15k on trade for....then so be it.

You may even be able to find a new one for that price a little more soon as 2011's start filling the lot and they need to move the old stock....specially for the next few months when a vert isn't exactly a priority in the great white north. lol

Re: Is this a good deal on a 2010 Mustang?

I agree with everything that's been said .
Urgency can cause a man to "run around like a chicken with his head cut off" .. Yes-you could buy in the U.S.-cash. Yes-you would have to pay taxes to take it back across the border. Yes-the dealer may "come down some more"-depending on how "much they want to sell", that particular`vert. Yes-you could wait a little longer and take advantage of a 2011.. Keep us posted on your progress/decision(s) .

I mean it makes sense that they are over priced in Canada because their Fords are imports...I know in Europe all fords are way more expensive than they r in the U.S.
