You might want to talk to the dealer to see if there is a different way but mine is a 94 and when the remote start worked it did the same thing. Safety,safety,safety... this is the "why"-most manufacturers do not install
remote start. It turns into a can of worms
-and "bad things can sometimes happen".. It will have some inherant "lack, of"-due to the manufacturer's "trying to still keep things safe"..
