Mods

Hey everyone, a, looking at picking up a 2010 or 2011 in spring and was wondering what mods can be done to the car. Not sure if i am going to get a v6 or v8 yet. Let's say worst case i get a v6, what mods can i do to it over time?

I have always loved the mustang. So it is my dream to get one and mod it to be my own. I would like to know what i could do to it from simple bolt ons to programming to open heart surgery and so on.

Thank you for any info you can provide me.

Re: Mods

V8V8V8 + Cai and tune , many 2011 owners are getting great results with basic boltons .

Re: Mods

So a Cold Air Intake and a tune, What else? the exhaust, does it have to be from the manifold or just from the cats back or just the mufflers?
Then of course i know you can do rims and tires, stereo, but what else?

Re: Mods

Depends on the thickness of your wallet! headers, supercharger/turbo, cams, injectors, plugs, throttle body (not spacer) gears, rearend, lowering/suspension...

I wouldn't be lowering it as i haven't see one i really like yet and we have fairly tall speed bumps and pot holes around here so i don't want anything rubbing on the ground.

if i am to drop a supercharger/turbo on it, is there stuff in the engine i have to replace with stronger parts?

i would probably do the rear end if i put a SC on it.

The exhaust, would i get more benefits doing all the way from the headers back or am i going to have very little improvements and better off just doing axle backs?

Thanks for everyone's thoughts and help.

Re: Mods

2011 is FAR superior to the 2010 with the new 3.7L 305hp V6 vs the 210 hp 4.0L v6... dont buy a 2010. The 2011 V6 has great potential, the 2011 GT has the 5.0 with 412 hp vs the 2010 wiht 4.6L 305hp version

Re: Mods

I think what i would do is get the 2011 v6 3.7L 305 and down the road add a supercharger or turbo to it. But i would enjoy the car for the first year or 2 and add a cai and axle back exhaust probably....everything is in the air right now as i'm just focused on owning my dream car....some day lol
