What's Next?

Hey guys, I've been building up my 2010 V6 bit by bit for the past year but I've finally reached a point where my car knowledge won't get me any farther. I want to know what I can do to get more performance out of my engine from this point on for under $1000. (meaning no turbo's or super's) =(

I've been looking at NOS kits but I worry about negative effects to my engine over time so if you have any info on that as well please share it with me.

Currently these are the mods I'm running with:

K&N CAI, Superchips Cortex Tuner, Shelby Strut Tower Brace, True Dual Magnaflow X-Pipe Exhaust, BBK 70mm Throttle Body w/ Spacer, 3.73 gears.

Thanks in advance!!!

Nitrous...I have a zex dry kit with all braided line and bottle bracket however no bottle. Dry need to be introduced right into the manifold to mix with fuel. I bought a zex wet and the gent I bought it off threw in the dry kit because he had no use. Nitrous is safe and a tune isn't needed for under a 75 Hp shot....I have friends who have been spraying 150 on stock block and internals for years with no ill effects. If not tuned properly it can go boom tho...125.00 plus shipping if interested and then you just need the fogger plate or however you want to inject it...am extra 75 bucks and I will toss in the purge kit too

Re: What's Next?

Nitrous is just as safe as forced induction if used properly. A wet kit would be the way to go if you were going to do it. I've had a couple of cars with nitrous and never had any ill effects!

Re: What's Next?

Nitrous is something I would avoid for a few reasons. Mainly its not legal on most roads if hooked up (thus useless while not on the track) and it can be more expensive than you thinks. It is also a hassle to have to fill up all the time.. and you can only enjoy the power when spraying.

Ok, can you PM me with exactly what I'll get with the kit? Sounds fantastic.

They have some forged cams in a fast ford's mag I saw for like $600.00 Are the power gains worth that cost?

your guesse is as good as mine...your asking the wrong person on that one. that's alota money just for cams, but you may get a decent power gain with everything you already have plus the cams...

with everything you said you have, cam just seemed like the natural progression, that's y i suggested it.
