CAI any sugfestions?

I have a 2011 mustang V6 and I'm looking to get a CAI. unfortunately, C&N doesnt make one for the V6 so I'm debating between a C&L or a JLT. Any suggestions on which is a better brand?

Alright to me a cold air intake is a cold air intake I don't know about these new models but do you go on the americanmuscle.com website because you can look at which cai may be best for you. I chose bbk and I don't regret it. But as far a JLT or C&L I don't know. And also If a cold air intake is ur only mod I'd wait to get a tuner bc on the website the ones you mentioned come with tuners. If your planing to get other things like gears and headers or new exhaust or what not I'd wait to get a tuner or even a cold air intake in that matter. With that being said, ( I would do all my upgrades now gears, headers, exhaust system if desired, or anything else and get the tuner with the cold air intake) and keep in mind American muscle can do ur tuning for you. I'd give them a call and visit there website

JLT just did some good dyno runs and other things (even tune comparisons) go to their site and look up the data, if you dont see it send Jay an email and he can get you the info.

For the 2011 a drop in air filter from k&n wld to the same thing and is 4 times cheaper. You can find it on americanmuscle.com

It doesn't do quite as good, especially not with a tune. & + a new CAI looks much nicer under the hood. Money is not an issue for me but thanks for the suggestion.

That's because the intakes on the new models especially the 11's are much better designed then they were before

And actually take a look at the injen brand cai. It's an amsoil brand type. They don't get much exposure but it's the best air filter on the planet and they make a great product. I would have one but they don't make em for a new edge. They are carbon fiber so no heatsoak and the whole design is light years ahead of what's on the market

They don't make anything for a 2011 mustang.

That's too bad. They are really nice. I have one on my truck. They encapsulate the airfilter with a vented box to help keep out contaminants and water. I really like where amsoil is headed. Great products

I strongly advise the C&L setup. They have been in the Mustang business since the fox body stangs and make a top notch product. I have their intake / Predator tuner on my 05 and boy does it work beautiful.

JLT seems to give the best HP boost with a tune on the 5.0, honestly you're probably talking about an unnoticeable difference in power between different brands.

JLT does have some really nice looking carbon fiber finishes though if you're into appearance at all.

Have you heard about the new Steeda - they just announced they are about three weeks away form releasing it for the V6. Their dyno chart shows 20HP and 30 ftlbs torque increase at the rear-wheel. I am watching to see more details announced...

I just read the announcment on another forum; new here so I don't want to do or post something that might not be correct protocol?

Just in case anyone was wondering, my friend got a JLT and he said the Heat shield doesn't seal well around the hood or the tubing. So I'm going with the C&L, better quality all around. I might check out the Steeda if they do end up releasing anything anytime soon.

C&L. No tune required. Nice change to the sound of the car. Just a little bit of hiss when gassing it.
