2011 Mustang "Low Windshield Wiper Fluid"

I bought a new 2011 Mustang V6 Premium back in November.. Today i was shocked that my windshield wiper fluid was out and there was no warning light or anything, is anyone else upset over this or just me? I mean, i just payed thirty some thousand dollars for a car that wont even warn me when the windshield wiper fluid is low...? i thought that was standard on all cars now days..

Re: 2011 Mustang "Low Windshield Wiper Fluid"

I just think its highly inconvenient due to the amount of pollen and bugs this time of year. I bought my car due to the amount of features and expected it to be equipped with the latest technology AND old technology.

You can still use ur wipers w/o fluid. And ur not gonna have so many bugs on ur windshield that you cant see

How often do you check your oil? Every time I do, I always just give all my fluids a once over to make sure they're all good to go.
Do this once every week or two, and keep a jug of washer fluid handy to top it off every time you do.

Lets not be rude, for a first time mustang owner the last thing they need is rude comments, lets be open minded and show them how great the mustang community is.

The mustang already has way more creature comfort add ons than it needs. It was never a luxury car and shouldn't come with all the luxury options.

I don't like using it either
Then part of the window is still dirty so I just wipe it down whenever I get somewhere

Sorry for the rudeness, just something I wouldn't get upset about? And its true a mustang is a muscle car and not luxury?

Re: 2011 Mustang "Low Windshield Wiper Fluid"

I guess if you really sit back and think about it... its something that many would expect, just not something the Mustang has ever had. I mean heck I dont have a damn engine light to tell me my heat exchanger coolant is not working ha thats more important than wiper fluid lol

I'm with you on this. We don't need tire sensors (federally mandated now), washer fluid level sensors, heated seats, cooled seats, power mirrors, mirror lamp signals, or any of that BS. Give me a Sports Car that's light weight, fast, Radio, A/C & Heat, with a race inspired seat. More electronics cost more money b/c it's more broken items

You reminded me that mine is out! Mine definitely doesn't tell me. Just got to keep an eye on it!

Re: 2011 Mustang "Low Windshield Wiper Fluid"

cars and their features change with the market, us hard core types only want light weight, power, and speed but... the main demographic is different.
