Question Is anybody using the JET 15043 Performance Programmer?

Hi All;

I have a 2011 GT, and I would like to find a decent tuner. I have never tried one on a Mustang, as this is my first but I used a BSR PPC on my Saab 9-3 and it was great - no Swedish jokes please . Does anyone have experience with the
JET 15043 Performance Programmer? Here is a direct link to it on Amazon:

Amazon.com: JET 15043 Performance Programmer: Automotive

I looked at the Diablo Trinity series, and they seem overpriced to me. I am open to any suggestions and input, as I am new to Mustangs, but wanting to learn.

Thanks!

I would go with sct. Most of the custom tuners use the sct software. So if you ever wanted to get a custom tune you should go sct or find out what local tuners are using.

Cool. I checked out their site, and there are 4 dealers near me - all certified. There are 2 that are cert. for retail and dyno. Which SCT tuner would you recommend? SF3, X3 or another one?

Thanks!

I'm not sure man. Mine is the older one. Sct2. Check with the tuner and go with his recomendation. He's the one who will prob be using it.

That's a good idea. There are also a lot of reviews online that I have been checking out too. Thanks again!

I used the 3. It's just a few more perks and adjustments available.

Hi! Yeah, the reviews are mostly for the 3. The others seem that they are for really tuned - like dragstrip tuned. Thanks!

Re: Is anybody using the JET 15043 Performance Programmer?

check prices on americanmuscle.com i ordered mine from there and it comes with free lifetime tunes so if u ever wanna add on another part you can just have them reprogram the tune for free. really good value. idk if u have a CAI intake but most people get one with a tune cuz its one of the best ways to increase HP and torque for the value. oh and btw the good thing about the tuning that u get from americanmuscle.com (bama custom tuning) is that they email you the tune and u upload it to the tuner yourself and tune the car yourself. (really simple, there is a vid on their site) instead of having to ship your tuner or take it somewhere for them to do it.

Awesome advice! Thank you. I will check out everything you mentioned.

These guys are pretty close to me and have a good rep. I want to talk to them about a CAI, dyno tune and the X3 at once.

Check out their site:
