2012 homelink visors

Has anyone purchased and installed the 2012 mustang homelink visor in a 2011? I've looked up all the numbers and it's still unclear. The wiring harness on the 2012 and 2011 share the same part number although it says it might contain an extra connection. I'm trying to find out if it's a "plug in" on the 2011? I really don't want to splice into my wiring and hope its a "plug in"

Even if it is different and imcompatible, there still is the option for the 2011 model to add a universal garage door opener. It's like $400 from a dealer though

Yep it has already been done. A guy on another forum has found the part number info, pricing and even offers a highly-detailed post including numerous pictures of the install, including where to grab the power near the visor.

I am new here and don't wish to break protocol, so I will ask: is it permissible to post link's etc to another Mustang forum where this info can be found? Thanks!

BTW, it is not made by (Johnson Controls) Homelink, but a Lear product called something like Car2U... lemme look... Web site is LearCar2U.com
