Anyone have same problem?

I just got 2012 GT on 3/28 and I found this yesterday and today, I went to dealer to fix this and they didn't want to because other Mustangs in that dealership are all like that. They think it is normal.
It is very annoying. If it's possible, I want to fix it myself. If you know how to fix, let me know, please.
By the way, what is the return policy for Ford Mustang?

** My English is second language. Please, understand.

Re: Anyone have same problem?

Upper cover is little bit off.
When pull the switch for the high beam, it touches and moves the upper cover.
Basically, there us a gap between upper cover and lower cover before the steering wheel.
I think the arc should fit exactly.

Okay I can see it now..............but I would say just nag your dealer until they fix it...and if they refuse to fix it...................I'm not sure...eventually they'll probably admit they're wrong and fix it..

Is that a major issue for you? This is proving to be one of the best engines since the 03/04 Cobras and I would overlook something as small as that.I will take a look at mine tomorrow and see if its an issue.

Yeah I would say overlook it BUT if it's amazingly loose and moving around get it fixed...I just can't tell how bad it would be from the picture...hell I didn't even know what it was for awhile

Re: Anyone have same problem?

Wow...the pressure of perfectionism . They may have ordered the shroud to pacify you. That looks pretty normal, to me-but hopefully you will have a higher 'degree of satisfaction', after they address your trim concern..
As for the "return policy"..WHAT? Sir, you are an owner. You took delivery. You either wrote a check or have financing-but 'over the curb'-means you own the car . It's not the same thing as returning some piece of merchandise, for an 'adjustment or refund'...

It's a shame that the fit and finish is still an issue. If they are all like that then there is not much you can do. I'm sure it can be taken care of but the dealer may not do anything about it. It's just terrible because they have been producing upper/lower column covers forever and still can't get it right.

Re: Anyone have same problem?

Lol, let me defense myself.
I don't buy a car often. Maybe one in every five years.
2012 Mustang GT is the most expensive car I ever had.
Maybe I was expecting too much.
But I want my car to be perfect.
For "return policy", I didn't like Ford's people's attitude.
Before I bought the car, they were very nice.
When I go back there, ask them to fix my problem, I didn't like how they were treating me.
I was upset so I was gonna buy a same car from another dealer.
But after I nag big heads, everything is ok, now.

I see many different people.
I don't think I am wrong.
But I know I am deffenrt than others.
Please, don't get me wrong.

Sir, there is an old saying:"don't get in the kitchen, if you can't stand the heat." I do believe-and the rest of the members of this forum probably would agree-that all of us have an opinion, and when you start a topic-you should expect a lively discussion to follow . Some of us-`self included-have owned enough Mustangs and Cobras-to "live" with some of the small anomalies that these cars have. It's all guud . I hope you enjoy your Mustang for years, and that you don't take yourself, too seriously . Peace.

I totally agree... I had the bad luck of finding out 6 days after delivery that my GT premium it had body work which wasn't disclosed to me... I took delivery of it at night looking just for dents and scratches and I trusted it was original... BTW it's not my daily driver so I was beyond pissed because I didn't pick it up earlier.... After enough *****ing, complaining and throwing attorney threats, it got resolved and they got me another one (thank god!!) so u have every right to want your new mustang to be perfect. This is my 1st car, which I saved for years

...even though undisclosed , previous, bodywork is a helluva lot more serious than a slight trim concern..

Never buy or look at a car at night or when it it's raining.
