Advance Trac

Does anyone know how to take off the traction control and advance trac? I put advance trac in "Sport Mode" and it still won't let me drift.

Re: Advance Trac

If you want to "Drift" turn the TC completely off.Check that book in the glove box for some help.

Yea...I tried that but the advance trac takes over and makes the rear end chatter. Really frustrating

Re: Advance Trac

You have to put your foot on the brake and hold the button for about 5 seconds to turn the system completely off.

Advance trac has 4 setting.

1. Everything on
2. Traction control off- hit button once
3 Sport Mode- Hit Button twice with foot on brake-( traction control off- advance trac will intervene if you get way out of shape. You can not drift with this on)
4- Advance Trac Off- Foot on Brake and hold button for 5 seconds- You better be able to drive. This is old school, not computer to help if you loose it.

Good Luck and Have FUN!!!

Re: Advance Trac

I wouldn't drift unless I was in an abandoned parking lot with nothing around me else you are asking for trouble.

its interesting that the new ones have different levels of traction control, thats nice to have.

wheel hop is due to the crappy rubber stuff the stock suspension has. Its better on yours than older cars.

Thats all I have to do. Then the car gets real nasty.....why do they put that junk on there anyhow, its like a car cond...uhhh, hmmm ill leave that one alone...either way is a joy killer!

As for the different levels, I haven't read the book but mine is either off or on, and on is just retarded, it intrudes waaaaaayyyyyyyy to much.....I mean my god, it my damn car let me get the rear end out if I want. By the way is there something to permanently disable traction control, sucks having to turn it off every time I start the car...
