Re: Warrany question

Anything from the cats back. The only thing will not be under factory warranty will be the new stuff you put on!

Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act states that the aftermarket part must be a direct cause of failure for the dealer to claim that the warranty is void due to an aftermarket part.

So you should be safe doing a catback.

Smart man! They cannot void the entire warranty and they have to honor any claim on that warranty unless they prove that your mod altered the state of the engine for example to cause the damage. Ran into this a lot with the Tiburon, but I will say mods can make the process a pain. Cat back shouldn't raise any questions!

Re: Warranty question

its always best to check with the dealership as to what will void it and whatnot. i waited until my warranty expired before i did anything to the car

Re: Warranty question

I bought a extended warranty on my car ,but a cat back system should be within the warranty limits.
