New tune

I have a 2011 5.0 with a Steeda CAI, BBK ceramic 1-3/4" headers, BBK catted x pipe, magnaflow competition series cat back exhaust, straight thru mufflers, and an SCT 93 octane performance tune. Anyone have advice for a tune that would get me more power and torque on the low end for faster acceleration?

I hear the John Lund tune through lethal performance (the "cammed" tune) wakes it up quite a bit. I know a guy with similar mods (except no cats) and it puts down 425/427 at the wheels.

Re: New tune

The ghost cam tune from Lund won't gain any more power than a normal Lund tune but it sure sounds good. Lund tunes in general are badass! FYI,Evolution will pass you on to Lund for the tune.

Yeah you're absolutely right I phrased that kinda awkwardly, the John Lund tune is that you want, wether you opt for "cammed" or not won't make a performance difference.

I wonder what that tune could do on a stock motor... I've been toying with the idea of not adding a cai.

I will admit.. that lumpy cam sounds sick! So your SCT tuner has a USB port?

Just outta curiosity.. do u think your headers and catted X-Pipe made a difference because the stock stuff looks pretty free flowing

Yup. I just have to upload it from my computer to the tuner when I get it then flash the ecu. Simple

I think it definitely made a difference. I still need to dyno to see what I'm pushing but I'm sure it will be WAY more with Mr. Lund's technical expertise in there

3.55's. I wanted 3.77's but I was told I won't see that much difference so I'll just stay with the ones I got

If you are gonna stay NA get some 4.10s,they will get you in the power band faster.....and they add a ton to the butt dyno. Your 3.55s are new enough that you could keep them and put them back in if you decide to slap on a blower.

"ton to the butt" I'm still a noob. What do you mean NA?

Re: New tune

You are thinking right. With the 4.10s and that Lund tune that car will feel badass from the jump. I've had 4.10s in my cobra and the 07 and absolutely loved them. I might just put them in the 5.0......thats how much of a difference I feel going from 4.10s to the factory 3.73s. 3.55 To a 3.73 is not gonna feel like anything so I would suggest 4.10s.

So I recently got 2 tunes from THE Jon Lund and I got a 93 street tune and a 93 street cammed tune. The cam tune worked fine but I tried re flashing with the regular street tune and now my car won't start. It says incorrect vehicle when I try to load another tune and I can't re stock it either. Will detaching the negative battery lead help? Any advice will be appreciated

Car works now! SCT remote accessed my tuner thru my laptop and fixed the problem on my tuner. Advice: DONT flash the ecu unless you have the latest firmware updates on the device. AND flash it only when SCT is open lol

Ok so I got my dyno and it was lower than I expected....whatever. What pissed me off was that right before I got home the car died....twice! Had a battery light and the oil light (the one that looks like a gravy boat). turned the key off and it started up tho. Checked all connections. None seemed to be loose. Pushed on all relays and fuses but nothing seemed loose. What happened? I have a Jon Lund tune in it right now that I tuned last friday and the sct tuner I have lost the vin and my car wouldn't start at all after. Couldn't even re stock it.

Other than the Lund tune, have you tried or had any problem with other tunes? I only had my car a month and I don't know if I should stay away from tuning while I'm under warranty
