You are correct-this is a topic that has been discussed numerous times..
Most oils these days are a semi-synthetic blend. Motorcraft makes both, a semi, and a full syn. I use the semi in both my GT and the wife's F150. I change mine about every 2500-3000 miles. (Her's doesn't get changed as often-because for the most part, she is 'responsible' for handling this)(even though I wind up doing it for her, as well..
)I do believe in a 'break-in' oil change. I did the first one at about 800 miles, on my car...
