the 5.0 cant handle anywhere near what the GT500 or 03/04 cobra can. It can take some abuse but you cant really push it super hard. I would say for a daily driver keep it at 8psi so when its cold out you have wiggle room as you will be making more boost then~ you want a margin for error.
That will put you at a great hp/tq level a your higher compression makes more hp/tq per boost than say my car or a GT500 it just cant take nearly the abuse (20+psi)
That level on a root blower would get you what, 550rwhp on a conservative 91 tune? Also no need to go with the biggest blower out there either.
