Re: Cam tune

If you have a Bama tune from A.M. or were a previous Bama customer like myself then the ghost cam tune will be free. Just call or email request it.

Did that actually work for you? I had the "free tunes for life" thing with my 08 (before bama was involved) and when I requested a second tune they never replied... Weird

Were you expecting to get one for free? Just curious why you would ask who is doing ghost cam tunes if you don't want to pay the price for one. You already have a tune right?

No I'm expecting to pay normal price for one, you can get custom tunes 3 for 125 or 70-75.00 each I can list several companies that offer that and they will have the cam option soon for the same price that's why I'm stating I'm not paying 200.00 for a cam tune that's not 100% perfected

Didn't you get a BBR tune with the Boss intake from LRS?
Do you already have a SCT?

I see,so you are just looking to purchase a ghost cam tune only then? How is the BBR compared to the Steeda?

Bbr is way better, no comparison steeda hyped it up like it was the **** and they forgot to tune it to my 4.10 gears which is scary and shows poor attention to detail. And they installed the gears all I want is the bbr tune with ghost cam idle and I'm set

But not paying 125-200 for a tune that still. Has problems waiting for it to be fully released SCT needs to update some parameters and it will be a 59-75.00 tune

Re: Cam tune

Well to bad you don't have a Bama tune because it would be a add on to your tune and free of charge.

Bbr doesn't offer the cam tune. Even before the cam tune option was removed from those who offered it BBr said they will never do it. Now your just out of luck all the way around lol

Ford is stopping everyone from using the technology. All the major tuners that did it now don't offer it. You can't find it anywhere

Thats not ford I don't know where u get your info from. Fords got nothing to do with tuning nor will they ever. SCT hasn't unlocked specific codes required for the cam tune to function at 100% it's stalling peoples cars and throwing error codes all over the place, check engines etc. Tuners are no longer offering until SCT if SCT modifies the parameters to allow tuners to make this a permanent mod, SCT is researching to verify this mod doesn't effect your engine/performance in a negative way currently it is and SCT will not allow it to lessen performance hence destroying SCTs entire existence "more power better fuel economy" motto and u can still buy the tune at multiple companies but your gonna be constantly flashing your computer cause it's not released for a reason

Actually, ford has requested the originator of the tune cease selling it. Ford is intending to patten it.

Other tuners do not have all the value files needed to make the car run correctly. You are right about that. Some have tried to use Jon lunds tune however he purposely didn't export everything.

Eventually, people will figure it out. In the mean time, Lund will just sit on his knowledge.

I got 2 lund tunes for $250. A 93 street tune and a 93 ghost cam tune. The cam tune gave me crappy gas mileage...then one friday night when I tried reflashing with the regular 93 street tune the tuner lost my vehicle ID and the car wouldn't start... It got fixed by a remote access to my device by SCT and I have the regular tune programmed now but every now and again it will idle too low when i'm slowing down to a stop and the engine stalls out I dont recommend the cam tune unless its professionally done at a dyno tune.....

Ford wants to patent no tune, can u show me where u read that?, and the cam tune has nothing to do with the boss302 trace key. The boss302 has cams, that's the real engine. not a tune faking cams. And no dealers are doing it again from sct stopping it from my previous post it's reducing performance and gas milage which goes against sct and their programming.

I'm on my phone and don't know how to use it to well, you can view the thread under mustang chit chat. Many leading tuners have been talking about it. Happy reading

This is exactly how I feel about it... I had lumpy cams in the 70's in my ultra high compression bored out 289... That engine screamed, above 4,000 rpm. It sucked down low. I don't miss it a bit, although it did sound racy as hell...
