Is there an additional filter you have inline to catch this?

Re: Oil catch can

This is the one I got for my 2010 GT:

JLT Oil Separator

It was on sale at the time so I got it for under $100. Here is a quick picture of it installed:

I just installed it last weekend so I haven't checked it yet...

There are cheaper ones out there. You just need to modify your existing hose. The one I got is plug & play. It literally took me 5 minutes to install including the time it took me to take the photos...

Re: Oil catch can

I have the JLT style that drains back into the cam cover so I dont have to empty it. They work best when emptied regularly, once they get so much in them they stop filtering nearly as good FYI

Re: Oil catch can

if it has high miles on it, its already got a lot of blow by, no real advantage to stoping it now lol. You could seafoam it good and put one in, or make your own for 20 bucks~

It doesn't do anything for performance or mileage, but it will keep your TB from building gunk so bad.

Re: Oil catch can

My highway figures went up about 1 MPG (22.5 to 23.3) after my installation but I also installed a new Flowmaster Hushpower Exhaust at the same time. They both claim to improve fuel consumption so I'm not sure which one is contributing more... Or maybe, just maybe, it's the floor mats I installed. We all know how much they improve your performance.
