Fathers Day

So the wife told me that she was planning on buying me a clear bra and a shift knob for my mustang for fathers day but she didn't know what it was or where to buy it. So now I get to choose and I have no idea how I want to spend a quick $400 on the car. I want both those items for sure but I'm conflicted on whether I should get those, or go for exhaust, maybe a tune, who knows. A bra would give good peace of mind. Ahhhhhh. Any suggestions?

Is it a DD? I would probably lean towards exhaust or tune if it were me.

Re: Fathers Day

Yeah it's my DD. Close to 1900 miles on her now with no rock chips. One small spot where I almost got one but didn't. Only a matter of time and I would hate to have this front end look like my 03 gt did. But there isn't any real excitement about a bra ya know, it's just a maintenance measure

Challenge is the clear bra has the potential to keep the front looking good for years. I could definitely tell the difference in my last vehicle that had one versus my wife's car not having one. Just too much paint up front I want to save.

Yeah, it was something I wanted to do right when I first got the car. I should have done it then and used Fathers Day to get the fun stuff. BAH! I know your right, perhaps I can manage to swing both exhaust and the bra

Re: Fathers Day

Clear bra or exhaust.Yours is a DD so maybe the clear bra will outweigh the exhaust.

Re: Fathers Day

Yeah I will likely go for the bra and call it good. Better to protect this thing now than delay it any further, as I am already pushing close to 2000 miles

Re: Fathers Day

Clear bra is like $1200 installed but I plan on installing it myself. Not that difficult, but time consuming.

Where are you seeing one for that much? In comparison to what I was going to get would make installation $800. So a bit confused.

Re: Fathers Day

Dealership prices that I have seen, etc. Pretty crazy I think, but only a nimrod would pay that much. It just takes some patience, and $10 in supplies, plus the film. Cleardefender sells a kit for the new 5.0's for a little over $200
