60 lb injectors question?

Hello everyone, I hope someone can help me out I have a 2010 mustang gt with a saleen supercharger, I am using the 3.2" pulley but I want to use the 2.85 or 2.75" pulley but in order to do that I would need to buy 60 lbs injectors and MAF but I was told if I upgrade my injectors to 60, that I'm going to hate it because driveability is horrible, but I am just wondering if anyone is running 60 lbs injectors and how bad it is to use for a daily driver? I just wonder if it is worth the money? I would love to know any info about this so please help me out!

Re: 60 lb injectors question?

I've run 60's on multiple vehicles. A good tuner will make a car with 60's drive like stock. 60's are NOT hard to tune for. You should have no issues with driveability whatsoever

Ok thank you! I thought it shouldn't be an issue but it was a different shop that tunes for Max horsepower and not driveability so yeah that makes me feel better with getting what I want and if anyone else has info I'm willing to learn!

Well I bought my supercharger from someone that didn't want it anymore so I just got a upgraded rotor pack and brand new LOL but yeah I took the pulley off and put the 3.2 on myself and ran with a 108 gatorback, I don't have any slipping which is great for holding boost, I did have to re-tune just to be safe and I picked up about 20 rwhp, I would recommend getting the 3.0 pulley if you upgrade because if you want to do the 2.85 or 2.75 you will be doing the same thing I would be with new injectors and upgraded MAF! But yeah the pulley swap was really easy and if you put the new one on just be careful until you get it re-tuned, you can still drive your car with the new pulley just try to stay out of wide open throttle! I did just to be safe, no sense blowing an engine for a 100 dollar part LOL

Im mainly concerned about the warranty sticker thy covers the factory pulley. I'm gettin the brenspeed corvette killer stage 3 upgrade. So I'll get a tuner with it so no worries there. I just want to salvage the warranty sticker so I could go back to stock if any problems came about.

Oh ok, well I never had a sticker with mine so honestly I wouldn't mess up your warranty unless you are like me and just don't care LOL but the upgrade is amazing....just saying!

Oh well then you are going to be amazed at the power gain, you don't gain much in horsepower maybe 20 to 25 but you will notice the torque increase! I actually have the stage 4 set up from Brenspeed except I just went with a 3.2 pulley because I thought I had to upgrade at 3.0? All well LOL but you will love the change in your car after the pulley upgrade trust me! If you aren't I will be amazed LOL

Yeah I've had it dyno tuned for safe tuning, no detonation and just a perfect HP and TQ curve, but with the 3.2 pulley I get about 9.8 psi because of attitude and rpm's on 91 octane I put 430 HP and 422 TQ!

My car is rated at 480. How do you only make 430 with the stage 4 that claims 580?

Oh man, the numbers they put on there is going to be really high because of it being flywheel horsepower and also the rpm's they run might be unsafe, if you call and ask them with a pulley upgrade you are going to be disappointed to learn the numbers they put on there is mainly flywheel horsepower and also other factors they don't tell you so if you do a 3.0 you will be around 440 or 445 rwhp? And maybe 430 or 435 TQ?

Huh, cause when I called them they said they would send me 3 tunes with the kit. I just don't see how you lost over a 100 hp through your power train from what they claim.

Yeah it is really confusing and there is so many factors that go into this but I thought the same thing you did is I should be at 580 but the reality is I'm at 430 I just thought it was weird but every dyno you use will give you different results, so its hard to judge really but if you talk to Chandler at Brenspeed, he is really straight forward and he will tell you exactly what you should be making!

I'm not sure who I talked to. Maybe it's your tune. 150 hp from what they claim isn't really worth the price of the kit. Ya know..... I live in Cali so I can't have them put it on the dyno. Can you post pictures of your engine bay.......

Well I still couldn't hook up on the line but I did run 12.5 at 110 MPH but if I can be quicker off the line and hook up better I could be in the 11's with what I have done!

It's a premium gt with the s281 upgrade. 6 psi saleen brakes anti-sway bar blower. Ive only had it for two weeks so I'm just starting to put money into it. I'm tryin to sell the blower I had for my 06 so I can hop this one up.
