yeah... 1.55 60' spinning... When it hooks, it'll hang the wheels for a good distance.

Great video clip! What kind of horsepower is your car putting to the ground? When are you going to post a 1/4 mile timeslip?!

Re: Hellion Powered 2011 5.0L Mustang GT - DRAG STRIP VIDEO

Thanks!
Car made just shy of 600hp and 640tq on the dyno, but with that heat, I'm sure it was less.

Once I get some better air quality, I'll make a full pass and post up some 1/4 mile times.

Hate it or love it. It has some good points and questions about the kit. As in why such low shift points? Why no dyno pulls over 6500ish rpms?

Why you didn't run a full 1/4 pass, same questions over and over being avoided. All about the kit, its power, limits, etc etc.

Re: Hellion Powered 2011 5.0L Mustang GT - DRAG STRIP VIDEO

I've answered those questions there, but I'll answer here too.

Shift points are at 6800 b/c that is where I want them. The power begins to nose over around 7100 and I want to stay in the power band, so I have it set to shift early to come right in to the peek power and pull through the gears constant and hard.

I didn't make a full 1/4 mile pass b/c it was HOT as hell there and I never made a pass in the car before with this setup. I wanted to datalog the first pass 1/8th mile and then go back out there for a full pass, but unfortunately, Fastlane wrecked their X275 car and the track was shut down until damn near 11pm, so I never got that chance.

As for the kit, the kit fit perfectly fine on my car, it went on in 4 hours and I have no issues with fitment or rubbing. I'm not sure of the limits on this kit, b/c I'm only running 10 psi and I'm nowhere near maxing out the potential of this kit. I don't think any stock motor 2011+ will do that. That Precision 67mm turbo is good for over 1000. As for pipe diameter, like that was stated over there, there are outlaw cars running as small as 2.25" turbo piping and making 3,000 hp, so the sizing is just fine on this car. Lots of people think bigger is better... That's not always true.

I hope that cleared up some stuff for you.

Re: Hellion Powered 2011 5.0L Mustang GT - DRAG STRIP VIDEO

Vinny just ran a mid 10 in 87* weather with a Hellion kit but the upgraded turbo. That more what I expect and also a 6.8 1/8 mile. Manual car.

Also what about power falling off up top? Do you think the boss would be a plus with this kit?

I'm not sure. I want to see what I can do first with the stock manifold... then I'll add the BOSS manifold on there and see if there are any track gains. I'm not to worried about hp numbers. I want to see that ET and MPH.
