Wheel spacers opinions

I am contemplating on installing wheel spacers on the forward and the back wheels on the GT. I am just trying to gather your opinions on the topic of spacers.

1.5in Billet Aluminum Mustang Wheel Spacers (Pair) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!

link to the spacers i would be painting them black before putting them on.

I also plan on getting some wheel spacers.. I think 1.5" may be more than I'm wantin to do.. I only want mine to be about 1/2" wider or maybe less..

Re: Wheel spacers opinions

Re: Wheel spacers opinions

i doubt you need spacers on the front, you need to measure how much you want the rim to come out, 1.5 inches is a big push~ might be to much.

hubcentric vs lugcentric, research that I think most go with hubcentric~

Re: Wheel spacers opinions

Coming out past the fender is also gonna cause all kinds of **** to be splashed on your car.....including rocks.

I don't want my wheels to come out at all... I'm doing the eibach pro kit drop 1" in the front and 1.5" in the rear... I know that doing that will cause the wheels to look tucked in, I just want the wheels flush with the fenders

What I've heard is the eibachs are cheap but have sagging issues and give a rough ride. The h&rs are more expensive but a better ride

I've always had eibach and always liked them, I just want to level out the stance.... The rear is way too high, 1" front and 1.5" rear sounds just about right... Plus I ordered the stage 2 pro-kit with the dampers included

Re: Wheel spacers opinions

as great as spacers sound, and i really wanted to do this to my rear wheels, ive heard it just causes more problems with rubbing, ect ect.

Here it is the 19 in rims made the drop look a little more aggressive but I tested the speed bumps on the base and no scraping

Car looks awesome, I ordered the eibach pro kit... It should be coming soon. Do you have spacers installed? If u do, how thick? What spring setup? Also, do you change the panhard bar? I have the painted luster 19' wheels, so hope it looks as good as yours when I install it nex week

After lookin at yours I may go that route.. I had thought about eibach profit so it would eliminate the rake but look like those took care of it... U need to get your wheels painted like mine now lol

As for the louvers mark a piecr of paper to measure back from the back of the door frame and then use thumb gapping from the line underneath the window that will line it up to follow the line on the car turned out perfect here window louvers are quite the accent too

What did you have to buy with the springs? And where did you get it all?

I got them from American muscle for 180 bucks you can purchase after maker adjustable cambers but I can't remember the cost and you really only need those if u plan on hitting a track and adjust them to favor right or left for example but after you get the springs installed you should take it in for a front end alignment since u are messing with the suspension

You would have to do a little research on that I had no problem swapping out the springs and using the oem struts mounts and cambers everything bolted right up and the car rides nice and handles well

Hmm.. Maybe something to do with the brembo pkg? That'd be nice if I didn't have to buy anything else...

The eibach pro kit is 1" front 1.5" rear which I thought was perfect because the back is way high stock.... But after looking at your setup it's almost perfect... As far as the spacers, I don't want my wheels past the fenders, I want them about flush... I'm assuming once u drop the wheels will look tucked in.... That was my experience in the past, I want to do it correct this time around

Here are some close ups of the tires n if u start at the top of ur fender and tire and run ur hand down the wall of the tire about 1/4 of the way down the tire and fender are even hope this helps u out in ur plan

Yea that actually helps alot, cuz like I said I want to do everything all at once... Looks good actually, so I think I'll hold off on the spacers... I don't know if u could help me on this, but I ordered the eibach springs that come with the dampers, do u think I would need strut mounts? I hear the GT500 are the ones to get... I'm no good with suspension, plus this is my 1st mustang
