Re: Changing wheels?

As long as you keep the tire diameter the same you will need no recalibration.

Tire size calculator

Go to that link and type in your factory tire size and the new tire size you are wanting to go with, then look at the tire diameter and attempt to get as close as possible.

Post up your factory tire size and we'll help you get as close as possible.

Re: Changing wheels?

bro as far as i know you dont have to recalibrate anything when changing wheels and tires. I guess you could if you wanted too but the diff would be so suttle it would make no sense.
but hey i could be wrong.

You don't HAVE to, but it's a good idea to. I know it will make your Spedo be off, and I suspect that it could make your tcs/esc a bit wonky ...

... did anyone read my answer above?

---------- Post added at 06:37 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:33 PM ----------

Factory tire size = 255/40-19
New tire size = 255/45-18

If you go with that new size your tires will be EXACTLY the same size, meaning absolutely no difference in speed, tcs, abs, or any other thing you think might change.

When you order the tire just check the specs vs your factory tires... Just make sure that tire diameter is the same or close (prolly won't be exact) or figure it yourself... 255/40-19= width is 255.. The 40 means 40% of the tire width (255).. That gives you how tall your sidewall is which in this case is 102mm... Then multiply by 2 bc there is a sidewall on top and below the tire.. 204mm converted to inches is 8.03 in.. Add to 19 inches and that's your factory tire diameter... 27.03in The latter is slightly more difficult and time consuming lol.. That is assuming your factory size is 255/40-19s.. Different brands and different styles will be slightly off on that bc of diff tread depths, sidewalls, etc.. A 245/45-18= 26.68in.. Your gonna have to be off by more than an inch or two b4 it's gonna noticeably affect your speedo..

Re: Changing wheels?

25.4mm = 1 inch~ FYI and the second tire number is a percent not a size
