Buh By Chevy

Literally just Took a Camaro twice. Orange convertible with the brembo package, against my Red 5.0 with Brembos. Let's just say he was very embarrassed.

My cousin has a '11 camaro ss with same mods I do and we have raced several times and it's always the same. He gets me off the line then I blow by him. He hates it lol. New gears and I should easily take him from start to finish.

It was street racing... Why can't we post that stuff? If we weren't doing that we would have bought a focus...

Yeah I figured but I was just curious as to why, is it a legal thing or just a policy to not encourage dangerous activity?

Illegal and dangerous. Think about these young kids who come on here and dont know how to control a car. They think its just push the pedal and go as fast as you can. Sets a bad example for them also.

Ive lost a good friend because of street racing..
Not because of his inexperience, but because of other people in traffic!..never a good idea!
Ive also lost 2 friends on motorcycles because of people not paying attention to what they're doing!!...

Yikes that's rough man... I've definitely toned it down a bit the last 2 years but every once in a while I do race. It's hard not to in a mustang

Re: Buh By Chevy

A site is not going to get kids to street race or not. Movies like fast and furious is 10000X's worse then this site. People have been street racing since the 60's and if not earlier. It isn't going to stop anytime soon.

There is ways to keep it safer though. I know where I live most guys meet at certain area's and run really late. There is also people watching for traffic and the county's finest. Most the real cars round us don't do stupid **** in traffic. Its them 16yr kids that think the honda civic or V6 2000 mustang they all have with a muffler on is fast and try to race in rush hour traffic.

Yes I agree keep the racing on the track. But kids on here will still race on the street even if you say not to no matter how dangerous it is!

You can put gears in it. A lot of guys have went to 3.90-4.56 gears in the auto's. The two biggest things that is going to wake that auto up is tune and stall. Buddy dropped .4 off his auto with just a tune. Then he dropped .6 off with a 4000 stall.

Another buddy has ran 11.3 in his auto with jsut tune, stall and no cat back on the car. Bigs/skinnies.

I was in the right lane. My car broke lose and tires spun like crazy.

low 11's are not bad at all for a car that is DD. I will have new times for my car coming up soon. Want low 11's and high 10's bad. And should be able to reach them goals now the heat is cooling off in TX.

4000 stall? Is that what most people with autos going to? I'm sure that will also depend on what gearing I go with

Most seem to be doing a 3200-3600.

The guy that ran a 11.3 now has a 5200 stall with a real Boss Engine. He also has 4.30 gears in his auto.

Boss 302 engine is here
