Exhaust

Of all the different types of exhaust...what do you guys recommend for my 2010 GT? I like a pretty mean sound but I don't want anything too quiet, or too loud...

Dont expect a power gain...you will barely notice it...it will just sound much better

I recently heard Borla S-type cat-backs on a 2009 GT. Sounded pretty damn good

Is there a major difference between cat backs and axle backs? Sorry if that's a dumb question haha

I plan to get the x pipe later but the axle back was a gift from my girl...but it makes it louder and some say it gives you a hair more power but I don't know if it's noticeable I'm doing it just for the sound

So I plan on getting the Borla exhaust and I have money to spend. What's the best option then?

I picked the s-type cause it's not as raspy as the atak but you may like the atak....but the touring one is not enough at all....I recommend googling borla and you can listen to all three from a launch and from cursing and then flooring it....I spent a few months looking listening and reading over just about everything and I went with borla and I think I made the right choice

Ya I'll do that. What I was asking though is when I pick the one I want is it better to go cat back? Axle back? And x-pipe.....sorry to sound new guyish but what does that entail?

Oh my bad....I'd go cat back if you have the cash ready and that will include your midpipe/x pipe....unless you plan on doing longtube headers one day then just axleback because the long tubes won't fit the normal cat back mid pipe.....hope this makes sense

Perfect thank you. Would there be a sound difference between cat back and axle back?

I'm pretty sure you get a little louder and raspier with the x pipe but that's just what I've heard but some say H is better and some say X is better but my car came stock with the H mid pipe so I would change to X and I've liked what I've heard with the x cat back
