2011 5.0 6mt Brembo premium

I'm kinda planning out the mods for my 5.0 and got a few questions.. Honestly I'm not really sure how far i wanna take this but I know I'm definitely not done yet lol.. I have hushpowers, an o/r x, sct sf3, steeda CAI and frpp k-springs and steeda LCAs on the way.. Ill prolly throw on a boss intake next.. What's my next NA power upgrade?? And also when am I going to have to start beefing things up to handle the power? And where should I start on that (trans., engine, etc..)?

I'll prolly go with something a lil more cost effective for now and save that for a finishing touch...

The throttle body with stock intake mani is gaining but combined with the Boss it was a waste of money. As mentioned it gained 1hp. Not worth the $400.

The Head have actually shown to gain about 5-10whp with cams/LT's/Boss/dyno tune/cold air. That is a expensive 5-10whp. Most places charger least 1000 to port heads.

Be better off slapping some spray or saving for the blower. I have ditch idea of ported heads. These heads flow really really well.

This is true I did some more research last night. I already bought the throttle body ( oh well ) and as for the port n polish I would do them my self. But like you said for 10 rwhp and like 12 hours of labour no thanks lol. I have 5200 saved for my blower, what you guys recommend to buy? I want 800 whp. I'm thinkin Roush?

for the street when you start to go north of 500rwhp its only for bragging rights... as you cant use it on the street (other than high speed roll racing). On the track thats different... but you MUST take care to do suspension stuff to handle the power as well as brakes.

[QUOTE="SpectorV"] (other than high speed roll racing)." AKA freeway

I agree but 500+RWHP is a lot more fun but i would have to say that you need wide wide dot drag radials to handle the power. I'm running 726rwhp and my next mod is to widen the rear fenders. I'm running 315s and it isn't enough .. I'm thinking 335s might do the trick. But would defiantly say you need to plan your HP goal and do all the suspention work first. Just my thoughts.

Lol that's what I just asked. I'm guessing no to 800 cause that's like 14lbs psi, the 700 is only 9 psi so I was wondering if it will hold. I mean as far as I read it is all forged in there

I don't think everything is forged, the spec list says the pistons are and that's it.

So the question really is how much boost and HP can a stock 2011-2012 5.0 take without blowing the heads and anything else or changing out suspension?

There not forged. Yes I'm going to forge it. As for stock internals and how much boost they can handle I have no idea

Re: 2011 5.0 6mt Brembo premium

JPC has made 800whp on stock internals with a centri blower. Not as hard on the car. Also don't have that instant bam of a roots or twin screw. If want 800whp why not go turbo? They will get you there faster and with less stress on the engine. So far JPC kit seems to be the best. Hellion kit is all who you talk to. Some people have loved it some have hated it. Some people have had no issues with it. Other well that is a different story.

Also going for bog power. Turbo's will always make more power. And easier.

---------- Post added at 10:21 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:17 PM ----------

Oh also. Most will tell you you are pushing above 700whp.

JPC ended up hurting there engine. They now have a built block.
