Re: roush vs jlt/steeda

Being the JLT/Steeda uses a bigger tube and Roush uses stock one. I would have to say yes. This is why the JLT/Steeda require a tune.

Look at the Roush. Its design. It just goe son t he stock air tube and that is it. Bigger cone. The JLT/Steeda replace everything with a bigger better looking piece.

Once get more mods, this will play in a role. As far as a basically stock car the cold air doesn't add much. But once you have full bolt ons and trying to squeeze every HP out of it. Well you will want the bigger intake tube.

You will still see gains if you tune it. Will they be as big as some the other ones. Maybe not. But I would worry about it at this point till you are ready to do Headers/Boss/etc. That is when you really notice losses from the Roush.

Like wnt2gofst said until ur ready to do a tune don't bother with another cai. But to answer ur question in my opinion yes it's worth getting the larger cai and tune. You will feel the difference from stock. I have the roush right now too but am ordering the JLT with sct tuner as I'm going for full bolt on!

I we t with the JLT cai and sct tuner combo. They list for 650$ but if u shop around on the Internet and find the lowest list price. u can always call places like American muscle or stage 3 motor sports and they will usually beat the lowest list price. I have got great deals purchasing parts through stage 3 motor sports. I only paid 575$ for my sct tuner and cai combo and got free tunes, but I have spent jack with them on my headers , xpipe, and axleback system. So it all depends on how well u bargain with them on how low the price goes. I did a lot of shopping around to get great deals.

Give Matt at Steeda a call. The Pony Wars are going on today so we might be a little tougher to get a hold of, but we still have staff on hand.

We will see what we can do for you!
