What's up guys!

Hey fellow mustang enthusiasts..I have been browsing through this forum probably about a month before I bought my mustang about 3 weeks ago. I have learned a tremendous amount of information too. Anyway, I bought a 2012 Kona blue GT premium and I love it. Before this car I had a BMW 330ci, but never a beast like the mustang. I haven't done any mods yet, but I have the GT500 exhaust sitting in my garage now. Well, I'm not going to write a book right now I just wanted to introduce myself. I will post pics soon!!

Re: What's up guys!

Welcome. The Kona Blue is a very sharp color specially on a sunny day. YOu have manual or auto?

Re: What's up guys!

I bought the manual transmission, I couldn't see myself buying an auto because I like to shift my own gears. No offense to those that have the auto of course. I am a little afraid of having issues that some others have been having with it, but hey that is what the warranty is for I guess.

Re: What's up guys!

Looks real good.

The issues have been with the manuals. Seems to be less having issues with 2012's then 2011's. Least for now.

I recommend a shifter and clutch as some of the first upgrades besides a tune..Eliminate the issues from the go.

I was thinking about buying the combination intake/tune packages from AM, but I just don't want to void my warranty. I know there has been a lot of convo about that on here, but I really would like to know for sure before I go that route. I guess I will just have to ask my dealer.

Re: What's up guys!

AM offers warranty for engine. If anything goes wrong cause of there tune they will cover it.

A tune will not void warranty on other things.

Thanks guys for all the kind words. Man its insane how much you can do to these cars. Even though there are plenty of them on the road, you can still make yours stand out. Anyway, tomorrow it gets tinted and exhaust installed!! I'm gonna ask if they can tint my tails also.

IMO wait ongettin the tails tinted..checkout the after markets before you spend your money on something that will need to be maintained.

thanks for the advice Omega, but what kind of maintenance would tint on tails require? Are you just talking about the wear over time? I wouldn't be opposed to getting some aftermarket ones as long as they are cost efficient, I would rather spend money on other stuff if you know what I mean. Also, I would have to agree with Jamie cause i'm not really feeling the ones in that pic.

I haven't seen any aftermarket that I like.. As long as the people who do it use a good quality tint you shouldn't have any issues.. I recommend Oracal.. Some other brands are thinner and also arent as easy to work with..That's what we use.. Maybe 10 yrs down the road but if it's done right and you take care of your vehicle should be ok..
