my build just got longer

In a good way. A very very good way.

Wife gave me the green light to order one these.

So when I return to the states in about 30 days I will get blown. I am going to run it N/A first and go after the EVolutions 10 sec pass. If I get it I get it if not oh well. LOL...

I decided on the vortech/paxton for a couple different reasons. Mainly I could keep my Boss intake. Plus the Paxton and Vortech have been taken to 700-900whp with nothing upgraded but a pulley.(engine may not live long)
Plus few other that have take there cars in the low 9's and 8's can't be wrong with centri blowers. And I know I will want a lot more then 650whp after a year. LOL.

I will also be using a JLT cold air kit with it. Like below.
JLT AIR BOX for VORTECH & PAXTON Supercharged cars : JLT PERFORMANCE, Home of the JLT TRUE COLD AIR KIT

Awesome. You're doing boss internals right? Hopefully those'll hold up to that power being abused.

Things change. LOL

I am going to run it N/A when get home and will not put a blower on it till after Xmas. Got a little more research to do. As in draw through or blow through cold air and MAF.

PLus I want to take a few shots at the N/A record times.

But then its shooting for some Evo crushing. I will need least 700whp to beat the EVO's around me.

Well I will be happy with high 10's N/A and low 10's with a blower. Not bad for a DD. LOL

Re: my build just got longer

Now the thing is I will have to get cams worked out. The cams I have is N/A cams and might cause some issues. So i have to return the ones have now and get blower cams or put the cams on hold. AHHHH frustrating. LOL.

Re: my build just got longer

Just talked to Evolution Performance/JPC/And Lethal. Cams are a no go. BUT

I just ordered a Paxton SC with a smaller pulley. Should be enough to make 650-700whp. We will see.

This is rad. Bunch of us are gunna have boosted 5.0s soon. I'm STILL waiting for my Roush kit. I'm aiming high like you I want 700 rwhp at the minimum. Any word on the cams? I never really thought of doing them.

Well the cams will be a no go. Least these cams. I talked to evolution/jpc/lethal about it. N/A cams not good for boosted cars.

So I will sell them or send them back. Glad I pulled the trigger today. Talk to guy doing my build he just got the clutch and drive shaft in today. Was going to start pulling cams apart later today.

The deal I got on a tuner kit couldn't pass up. I already have the injectors that come with the regular kits. Which are 47lb(52lb rating). And also will do a dyno tune anyway so no reason to pay any extra for a SCT(That I have) with a tune and the same injectors.

The injectors I have are great for stock SC's or low boost. But they are only good to about 600whp. They are also great for N/A applications(old plan) and E85.

Yep only car I drive daily. I could run another tune that knocks the timing down and then want to really play load big tune in. That is what a lot of people do.

Ya the 9lb one is the competition cold air. The 109lbs is the SC its self.

No I really did want to stay N/A and shot for the fastest N/A record. But I got a SC for under what 4K that can make least 900whp with a pulley swap. Sold the cams and out pocket only 2500. For a increase of 200whp/150wtq. Plus Install is same for me. Tune is free either way I go.
