Self installed boss mani complete!

The install was surprisingly easy. Going from stock to the boss setup is a huge difference! It does not feel like I loss any torque down low it actually feels like it pulls harder all the way through the rpm range. Pulls especially hard from 4k up! Love this setup worth the money!

How long did it take you to put it on, It took me a good 2 and a half hours, granted I'm no mechanic but I thought it would be quicker. Did you buy the high dollar kit for extending the hoses or did you make your own?

Yeah was very easy. Just a lil time consuming it took me about 4hours to install the mani, CAI, and tune as I was taking my time with it. Worth doing it your self to save money on the install!

I made my own why pay 170$ for a kit that doesn't look that good and is goi g to be covered anyway. It costed me 15$ for the FE- hose and two clamps and one bolt to secure the purge Valve. All works the same!

They are using tune and running to the 7800 with the Boss. No point with the stock mani.

Use the stocky here to do install.

Ah, ok. I was looking at getting the whole package from steeda. Mani, intake, tuner and strut tower brace.

I used the boss install thread on this forum its a pretty good write up. As far as saving money the 170$ kit u can buy is crap when u can use 2ft of fuel emission hose and two clamps with one bolt. The cheaper kit is sold at latemodelrestoration.com just type in search bar " boss 302 mani install kit" the cheap kit is 9.99 + shipping comes out to 15 or 16$ compared to 170$ for the fancy kit. Like I said u will end up covering all that anyway, but even if u don't cover it the cheap kit does not look bad at all. As far as the performance it's well worth the money. from a stock car this setup pulls harder all the way through the rpm range and pulls especially hard from 4k up. Where the stock mani starts to fall off at about 5800 and faceplants at 6500 the boss keeps pulling even through 7800. No doubt u will feel the difference in the low rpm's and it's beast mode in the higher rpm's! And I'm the same way with the modding can't wait to get my LT's and o/r x pipe on and then getting a custom dyno tune! CANT WAIT !!

Benzo, nice install. Where did you purchase the intake and did you order it with the CAI as a kit?

Heck even if pay most asking price of 675 for cold air/tune and order Boss from Tousley you still come out cheaper.

It's definitely worth buying separate and shopping around. I paid a total of 965$ for My boss , cai , and tuner with free tunes and that's installing my self.

Just have look around. They was cheapest last time I looked. But more people starting to carry them so might get cheaper some where else.

And yes cheaper to buy separate. You don't have to buy all same place.
