Pony Painting

I have been looking all over for a pony to replace mine with. I wanted a red one but the only red I could find was BLAH. I wanted a metallic red like a red chrome but I could not find one. So I had this idea of finding transparent paint so I could keep the original chrome pony but paint it with transparent red to keep the chrome look............. Today I pulled the pony, lightly sanded it with 600 grit sandpaper and painted it.... looks AWESOME. I will post a pic once it is dry and remounted. I Painted the coil covers with the same paint as well lets see how that turns out.

Pics to come soon.

Re: Pony Painting

It is kinda overcast today so the picture makes the Pony look darker than it is, it also does not show the chrome either.... Looks cool as Justin Beiber in person.

The Ka is a cheap winter car, I paid less for that car than 2 Blizzaks cost for the Mustang. It has some significant damage to the side which I am repairing and some one scratched F%$K into the hood which I already sanded down and primered as well. I am going to paint it matte black and put some candy apple red stripes on it.... all by hand with spray cans, and sell it in the spring to some Private new to Germany for 2500 dollars

I think it looks bada$$, great job. I love that shade of red. It looks like you did something to the eye of the pony emblem, did you or is that just the flash?
