Re: Vortech supercharger on 2011 Mustang GT

I have a race lined up also. I am going to get spanked but it will be fun. LOL.

Buddies C5Z that just put down 750whp on 12psi. He is waiting on a pulley to come to run 22lbs.

It is possible, I just haven't decided what to do yet. N/A or S/C. The prestige of having a S/C is nice, but do I really need all the power from a S/C.

Re: Vortech supercharger on 2011 Mustang GT

Ah, need vs. Want! Rest assured, the Vortech set up is very well tested and comes with an SCT programmer. All the tunes are safe. In the as-delivered kit, you make an extra 120 rear wheel horsepower, keep your emissions legality and it drives just like a stocker...until you get your foot into it. Should you ever want to upgrade, it is a simple affair. Fell free to Email me privately and I can give you all the details.

What kind of power are u looking for? Full Bolton will put u at about 460 to 480 whp that's with CDT. If looking for more go with a Paxton or roush S/C kit. I will stay full bolt on for now 525+ crank horsepower will do for now

Re: Vortech supercharger on 2011 Mustang GT

I would ask not only power level but plans with the car. As in just fun on the street or a certain time looking for at the track. Do you want that nstant tq and tire shredding power? Or do you want a turbo like feel? Build boost on rpm going up. And still be able to hook on the street.

Defiantly go Paxton over Vortech. The vortech kit will not make as much power as the paxton head unit. You will have to upgrade the head unit before the paxton.

If go PD/roots go with Roush blower.

Too funny-looks almost like my Vortech set up on my '11 GT, except for the boss intake and open air element...nice! Here in Ca. They would throw you to the junkyard dogs 'cause this would not pass visual smog tests. Hey-keep us posted on how the dyne tune session comes along.

Re: Vortech supercharger on 2011 Mustang GT

they look the same cs they are made by same people. I mentioned that before. The Paxton is just the better head unit. It will make more power before having to upgrade.
The open filter is the competition cold air. Gains about 1-1.5 lbs of boost. The Boss also helps pic up power and lets the engine rev higher.

As far as smog I care less. Don't live in CA and if I was worried about it I would ride a bicycle. Oh and the open filter is also CA legal.

Re: Vortech supercharger on 2011 Mustang GT

indeed it will be...I know it made over 630whp with a base tune and old injectors. The 80lb injectors went in yesterday. SO now no more running out of fuel.

Re: Vortech supercharger on 2011 Mustang GT

easier on the engine. The Centri robs less power to make power. Its easier on t he drive train. Also more power in the long run. My blower will make 900hp easy before I have to upgrade it. Less y ou buy a 10,000 KB you will not do that.

Also the fastest 5.0's yet are centri blown cars. They making more power easier.
