| 2011+ 5.0 Mustang Low Oil Thread
2011 5.0 3300 Miles......popped the hood,pulled the dipstick,no oil.......WTF!?! Where did it go and why are these cars doing this?

Did u check oil filter. I had this happen on a new corolla had jiffy change it. They used wrong one. It must have backed out. Driving check engine light cameon engine seized. $9000.00 later had new crate engine from Japan luckily jiffy owned up to it and paid

I don't get this either but I check my oil at least once a week and have never had to add any oil and my 2011 has 21500 miles on it. I also change my own oil so that way I know it's done right

As much as I like the way the Challenger looks I don't think I could throw on my skipper hat and navigate one of those boats down the road?

On my second oil change the dip stick barley showed any, it was nowhere near the full line. These service guys are human, they make mistakes. But as far as losing oil... That's yet to happen to me. :/

Talked to a couple techs I know and they said the break in period for these motors should be the only time your losing oil. Some a little and some a lot. I got my GT with 1.3 miles on it. I smelled an oil odor for about 6 months every time I goosed it. I have 6700 on it now and I don't smell it anymore. I never noticed much oil missing, but I change mine every 3000 miles. They also said there are reports of it leaving the factory with not enough oil and the dealer not catching it when they sale it. That said, there should be an oil warning light!!!

Well I got 4100 miles and been watching mine close.I checked it after a trip and it was at the bottom hole on the stick.Feel its ok and all but having to add a quart is not cool on a new motor.This break in **** is not what it is I doubt but sure as hell hope so.

Dont knock or under estimate the Challenger. Mine was no slouch and I sold it to a buddy of mine who did a tune and exhaust.... now that "boat" destroys my 5.0 on command. It is big no doubt, but it is VERY WELL COMPOSED on the street. Had it not been for one safety issue, I would not have sold it.

Just kidding like I said before I love the way they look I just think they are big. I have actually been trying to get one of my buddies to throw the old HEMI ARP graphic on his and make it look old school. I think as foo foo as it may sound I could never own another car without sync. Plus I have owned a mustang since 1995, it's hard to look elsewhere.

My 08 v6 Mustang went crazy on me last night. I was driving home and my radio turned off because of low battery? It was dark then my lights dimmed then turned off. I went to turn left and the blinker stayed on the whole way home. Then when I got home I tried to start it again and it wouldn't start. My mustang still won't start I don't know what's wrong but I think it's haunted.

Anything to increase the driving experience is a + in my book. Besides I cannot afford to be dickin around with buttons while I am on the autobahn doing 120+mph. Voice is AWESOME!!!

The car will kick, or stop using power for unimportant things first, allowing you to make it as far as possible before it shuts down.
