K sprigs install

Do I need to take my mustang to get an alignment if I install k springs? Do I need to purchase any parts other then just the springs? I saw on the website they recommend installing other parts along with the springs.

Re: K sprigs install

Yes you need to take her in for alignment after the spring install. You may need camber bolt which are not very expensive and you may not need them, some also get new strut mounts and some disagree with that. A 1.5 drop is not that bad so you may not need the camber bolts.

Re: K sprigs install

Get the GT500 upper strut mounts at a minimum. The suspension is one of those items you DONT half ***. They are only 85.00. The springs will not seat correctly on the stock strut mounts.

Brembo brake packages don't require plates either. I installed mine got the front end aligned and the shop said they had no problem aligning after the drop.

I would recommend camber plates then, I can't remember what other member it was but he used the ksprings and got the camber plates to make the alignment go more smoothhly and he also didn't like the look with the 18 in rims and the drop so u might consider increasing your rim size to 19 or go big and go with 20's. I do have the brembo package with 19's on k springs so if you want you can check out my garage and see how it looks the my car has some before the drop photos for u to compare as well

I'll prolly get the camber plates cause I'm the kind of person that don't do anything half ***. Do it right or don't do it. I have the 19" rims. So no issue there they are the grey spoke factory 19x8.5 I believe.

Yeah that was in his opinion I don't know, I know that I like the drop with 19s although the rims I want will be staggered 20s

That extra half inch makes a lot more difference than you would think.. I have seen someone complain about their 19x8.5s looking too tucked in after the drop... They are also a different offset wheel so makes it stick out further..

Well what about p springs? They are 1 inch all around. Is that still a noticeable difference?
