That one I saw coming from a mile away with the ZR1 and hype around it. It's not like they just redesigned the GT500 for MY2012 and then announced the 2013 with a badass new drivetrain. The 5.4 has been around for three solid years, time for an upgrade IMO.

I agree to a point. I would take a Z06/ZR1 over any mustang. And I would if I could have afforded a new one.

And I would rather have an Audi R8 GT... I'm just short about $160k.

I've read this whole thread, and I agree with "Nepoleon85" on how Ford did stuff, but thats "Business", companies do what they need to do, which is the main reason "WE" as customers Must read up on all information and detsils on everything, before we go out and spend money. It's our duty and priv.

True, I mean did anyone really expect ford to announce the 5.0 sooner and just take a bath on about 95% of the 10 gt models?

Hahaha! Mere semantics..... That's like telling an old push rod motored 5.0 who just spanked you at the strip that it doesn't really matter cuz I just ran your vin and it says you have a 2.3!! I agree about not making it look like a 5.0 but bad point.

Says the dude that can't spell knowledge...

Seriously, what is your purpose here? Nobody asked what you thought about the Camaro or Challenger, this is a Mustang site in case you didn't notice. I'm not even sure what any of your posts have to do with the original topic of whether the 2010's belong with the 05-09 section or the '11+ section.

Go troll somewhere else.

I'm not trolling, I was on this forum long before I bought my Camaro when I had a 2010 GT Premium Pkg Mustang.

So let's turn all our frowns upside down and say I was surprised when they changed it as well, I remember looking at my phone thinking it had a glitch or something, I think I even restarted my phone and then I was thinking this will be alright because the 2010 forum on its own was pretty boring and its good to hear what everyone is doing because I never heard of the MGW shifter and I almost bought one but I decided to stay with my tri-ax shifter for now but yeah I like the change more people talking in this setup!

Re: The section change confuses me

I have never been a 'hater', toward those that purchased a 4.6, 2010 GT . I agree with Brent(2nd reply) We are here, to assist one another-not bash, or put down-particularly as, "thinking men can reason together" Furthermore, it was also pointed out that the Motor Company, did not have the 5.0 ready, when the style change was happening..Unfortunate? Perhaps-but it was a big upgrade for some people.
A spirit of helpfulness, and information is way more important, than a 'tit, for tat', scenario..

Re: The section change confuses me

From slow to slow, hmm ok why not but for real my Mustang was totaled after 6 hours from buying it new. I was a victim of a hit and run on the freeway and I was put into a wall and it was all done from there.

Seriously though.... We're all here to help one another and discuss certain topics. You'll see people who have 2012 GT's posting in the fox cuz they used to have one and can help with certain topics. The 2010 is a thing of its own for sure. The interior components are shared with the 2011 and up and motor and trans belong with 05-09..... It's a mess, lol!

At one point a few years back I used to get all bent out of shape when threads went to the birds.... Now I just take a sip if Jim, and watch the flags unfurl.

If the only difference is driveline, to me that suggests there is a higher % of shared parts with 2011+ then with the 09' and down.

Its like saying 94-95 cars should be in a different section then 96-98. In the end the 11' style will be done after 3 years, so a new section would be pointless. There is no precedent on this forum to open a new section based on a driveline change.
