Going to be getting a 5.0 after the new year, don't know if i'll get 2012 or wait for a 2013, but am wondering what if any difference is there between the frpp handling pack and the suspension setup on the brembo brake package. Don't want to order with the brembos if i'm just going to change everthing anyway.
I can give you details on the Brembo Package and what you get: (but I don't knw much about the FRPP Package, ride quality, etc)
Brembo Brake Package includes the following:
Front: 14" Brembo® Vented Rotors with Brembo® 4-Piston Calipers
19 x 9.0-inch dark-stainless premium painted aluminum wheels
255/40R19 Pirelli PZero Summer-Only (Coupe) or P255/40ZR19 Goodyear F1 Supercar (Convertible)
Different Springs (131lbs Front / 167lbs Rear)
Different Struts/ Shocks (tuned for spring rates)
GT-500 Rear Lower Control Arms ( Higher Durometer Rubber)
Unique Electronic Stability Control® (ESC) Tuning
Unique Sport Steering Control Setting (EPAS)
Slighty stiffer ride than a regular GT/5.0 but not as harsh as a GT500. If your looking to track the car on a regualr basis then you might want something a little more suited for that use then the Brembo Package. On a DD the BP is great (IMO).
Well I just looked at FRPP' website and they've got the handling pack listed for mustang 2005-2012 so I don't know how much of change that would be from stock considering they upgraded the setup on the 2010+ gt's. But as far as a whole package it comes with everything. Just don't know how it stacks up to eibach or h&r setups.
On a side note. I have driven a 2012 with the brembos and it is a great setup for a factory option. That was a fun test drive, lil powersliding and a lot of speeding.
hey hey Phil i also have the Brembo pack. i put the entire FRPP i noticed a diff in the car right away, less body roll and it lowered the car about an 1 in the front 1.25 in the rear. stiffer response in the steering as well. worth the expense.
Thanks for the info sixx. I've been doing more research and itd almost be worth getting the brembo pack and then later getting either the frpp pack or the Roush pack( thanks Napoleon). And get all the other stuff from the brembos with the more track oriented setup from frpp or Roush. Thanks for the advice and tips.
