First Twin Turbo 5.0

This is Jon Lund's car. F'ing sweet. They are trying to get to the track with slicks. But keep getting rained out or something else. It has ran 12's at 127mph on street tires. It will go 10's with tires. Still on stock block. When block goes they will turn it up and run big boost.

Not sure. But it is on every huge mustang forum. SVT/Modularfords/S197...They all have a build thread by the guy doing the work for Jon Lund.

Re: First Twin Turbo 5.0

Looking at that does produce WOOD, I've never seen anything more sexier than that. At that point, it does not matter how much or how many HP's that produces, that's to bad@$$ to even matter.

---------- Post added at 09:19 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:18 AM ----------

That's worth doing, even if just for the looks only.

I know I had a conversation with Ken and he mention 8's full weight Daily driver. Why you ask? Cause no 2011 5.0 has went 8's full weight yet. Closest so far is Sean Kelley with a 9.2 in his Paxton supercharged 5.0. But he also is looking for 8's.

I say why ask why 8s full weight cause it hasn't been done. Evo's 8 sec car was a gutted race car. Hell even had a different tranny in it.

Autos. They run better times. Can't shift as fast as a tuned auto.

Re: First Twin Turbo 5.0

They are taking it back Wednesday and turning up boost to 10lbs and with a little race gas. They want see if can hit 9's or low 10's on stock convertor. I think it will hit low 10's. This car will be the fastest Turbo car and I have feeling fastest 5.0 period when all said and done.

I LOVE rowing gears putting around town, but on the strip...... I just plain SUCK at good launches and would take an auto anyday to alleviate that handicap that I have.

That is super fast for stock suspension/stock engine/full weight. That trap speed is crazy.
