Lets see your ***

I am soo undecided about how I want to do the rear of the car.I am not feeling the decklid panel I have so I am thinking of removing it.Like the plain look better and maybe try blacking out some of the fake gas cap. What are you guys feeling looks good and post pics? Mine in the pic is just double sided tape-right? Not much trouble getting off -right?Really like to strip it all,but I am sure the cap is bolted and not wanting to deal with the holes.

Lol, since most of MustangEvolutions members are male, I was afraid of what I would find when I took a peak! Lol, I was relieved to see a car and not some hairy dudes poop chute.

That being said, behind the Faux Gas Cap is a pushed out surface with guide holes that the cap's retainers clip into. I deleted mine and put on a solid Blackout panel. I dig it!

Btw, fishing line works the best for removing the old Blackout and Faux Gas Cap.

Funny stuff! I didn't get the delete but was thinking of to one piece painted to continue my stripe down the back. Then I'd had it deleted.

FYI the factory decklid panel and faux gas cap are all one piece. Unlike some of the aftermarket panels that have a cutout for the factory faux cap. If you remove it you will have holes and the bump where the faux gas cap goes.

I thought about doing that too but didn't feel like spending $100+ to buy a tri-bar pony faux cap (prefer the look over the GT), so for now I sticking with the panel on mine

Re: Lets see your ***

I've decided to plasti dip the fake cap. Before I rip it off, anyone know how to do that? The only two items that are chrome or silver are that *** cap and the 5.0 which I am changing to black. Found them on blue oval industries. I have a plan for this car. That's all I can say about that.

You don't have to take it off. Tape it, clean it, spray it. Use a razor blade to cut around the edge before peeling the tape off donor doesn't peel the plastic dip. Blue oval industries has black 5.0 emblems.

Maybe if I didn't have to put stock tails back in, I'd show you.

Thinking about a decklid... Hmmm....
