TSB Transmission Fluid Change UPDATE

Brought my car to the dealer this past week for two TSBs. The transmssion fluid change to address notchy shifting and the noise in the front suspension. The dealer ordered the parts for the front suspension so I will provide an update after the work is completed. As far as the transmission fluid change I can say that the 1 - 2 shift has been improved substantially. So I do recommend this as to address this issue.

Agree with the improvement in shifting! The trans fluid change is a must for manual owners so what's the TSB for the suspension does it apply to brembo package cars?

The number is: TSB 11-7-8. Not sure about specifics.

I don't think it matters. From my understanding folks going over speed bumps/humps and other objects here a noise coming from the front end...I believe the TSB covers the replacement parts to fix this issue.

Re: TSB Transmission Fluid Change UPDATE

I had the front end noise a week after I got the car, and the dealer replaced both control arms. No noise since, and the new control arms were an improved design.

Re: TSB Transmission Fluid Change UPDATE

That is my understanding as well. Hopefully the dealer will call me this week saying the parts are in and to schedule a time for me to bring the car in.

I will keep everyone posted.

Re: TSB Transmission Fluid Change UPDATE

To update everyone about TSB 11 10 17 for front suspension noise, I went to the dealer yesterday after they called to tell me the parts came in. The necessary work was performed under warranty and I am happy to say that not only is the noise gone but the steering feels tighter. This tighter feeling may be imaginary but I don't think so.

Re: TSB Transmission Fluid Change UPDATE

If you have a "Job 2" 2011 (Aug 2010 or later) or a 2012, the MTF change TSB does nothing. They're putting the same fluid back in. If you noticed a difference it's just from having fresh fluid and it will break down just as fast as the original fluid did.

Re: TSB Transmission Fluid Change UPDATE

Sorry if I mis-spoke. I was talking about the steering not the transmission.

I do see an improvement in shifting but still a little notchy 1 - 2.

I knew what you meant. I was replying to your original post. I should have been more clear about that but missed this the first time around.
