Cool, cool. And I can drive it either like an auto or a standard at that point? Or how does the car decode what to do

States on Libertys site that it doesn't make the tranny clutchless?

Under normal driving you shift like normal. This takes away extra tear on it. At the track no need to use the clutch. You just yank it in gear.

Also its a manual tranny still so you have to shift it your self.

Damn, that's awesome, I would think that would be hard on the tranny but I guess not since it would be so beefed up?

Pretty much. They beef up the insides with clutches and stuff t o make it handle it. But That is also why you drive normal around town.

Re: 2011-2012 GT Question

On my last 5.0....(an '88) built, as a theme, with junkyard parts, I had nitrous first, then twin turbos (off Merkur XR4Tis) and finally a Paxton ball-drive supercharger (FleaBay).

The nitrous made the most power easiest, no doubt but, refilling the bottle and watching its heat and pressure got old. The turbos made insane power but the underhood heat was ridonkulous and, fuel side tuning on a speed density 5.0 was difficult. The antique ball-drive blower I rebuilt, replacing a couple races and balls and that thing soldiered through 5 seasons of drag racing and street driving, no complaints. It made for the nicest driving feel, as well.

Not fancy, like some of the suggestions here but, my whole ideology was build it cheap, make it fast, beat high-dollar cars at the strip and that old POS did that pretty consistently.

I'd never do that with this car. This one, I'm going to start with traction aids (relocation brackets) and then hit the electronic side first, as the car makes pretty good power as is. I'd like better driveability, though, the factory tune isn't how I'd set it up, personally.

He is talking an old 5.0. Totally different engine. But the paxton blower is capable of making 800whp+

No not a hellion. They have had some issues. I recommend this one that will be produced soon. If not it then I say go Paxton/Procharger. If want instant grunt of a roots/PD blower then Roush.

That is a custom setup Jon Lund had built for his car. They will be producing it if enough people want it.
