OOOOHHHH DOGGY!!!!

Got the springs in, LCA's and relocation brackets and new grill. LOOKS BAaaa-eed AZZZZZ!.

On a side note, DO NOT BUY THE UPPER STRUT MOUNTS FOR THE GT 500 everyone says you need to buy when you use the FR K springs. They DO NOT fit the strut.... WASTE of 90 bucks. You need the GT500 struts as well if you want to use the GT500 Upper strut mounts.

I will take some pics tomorrow.... after I get her cleaned up.

Yup ... the FRPP site and catalog is pretty clear about that. You can use the springs with the stock strut mount but I don't think the perch is quite right from what I have heard. I personally wouldn't replace springs without putting in shocks that were tuned for them anyways.

Cant wait to see the pics.

Probably $800-900 for a full setup. You can just do springs for $200-300 but it will just lower the car. The handling won't be improved and could be worse depending on how mismatched the springs and struts are. This is assuming you get a kit without swaybars, which are totally optional but will help even more with handling.

There are tons of people w the frpp k springs and nothing else on this forum including myself... Everyone of them that I have seen comment on this subject says the car handles better.. Once again including myself.. It's not necessarily correct or incorrect.. It's just about how far you wanna take it and what your willing to spend.. My car looks and handles better after the k-springs.. Better than factory..

Re: OOOOHHHH DOGGY!!!!

Well I will be buying new lowering springs. I didn't feel like pulling ones off the manual car. I want the lowest drop possible. Who knows the lowest drop from springs? My other option is coil overs.

I will post some pics of the FRk springs tomorrow.... that 1.5 inch drop is pretty substantial.

One of Eibachs kits is 2.0" front and 1.8" rear if I remember right.. If you got the $$ go with one of those awesome coil over kits w the gas shocks and all that.. I don't know what the lowest they go is though..

Bagging it is tempting. But not very good for the track. That is a lot of weight. And its expensive. My wife isn't feeling me spending no more money right now.

Yeah, that grill looks f-ing awesome! I want!
The roads in Corpus Christi suck big time! My ride quality has diminished greatly. I'm gonna be swapping my springs for a Full Coil Over Kit. I know it's expensive but I love the lowered look and I need better ride quality.

Looks great, did you use camber bolts, plates, or neither. It doesn't seem to be off at all from the pics you posted!

I have the Eibach bolts, but they are not installed. I have an appointment next week at Ford to do a 4 wheel alignment check. Seems to drive ok... issue with the panhard though... New Thread

Let me know if they end up being needed or not. I hope to get mine lowered this summer and would like to avoid buying unnecessary parts.
