Accel-erate Your 2011+ Mustang’s Horsepower with Coil-On-Plugs!

We dropped a brand new Accel Super Coil on Plug Kit into our 2011 Automatic Mustang GT to see what kind of horsepower gains were left on the table. Rated at over 412 horsepower, you really wouldn’t think that there’s a ton of room for improvement by adding affordable bolt-on performance mods (besides the basic CAI/Tuner/Exhaust). Our friends over at Accel found a way to add as much as 10HP and 9TQ to a 2011 and newer Mustang GT or V6 in less than an hour!
These new Accel Super Coils, right now exclusive to AmericanMuscle.com, are a ridiculously easy way to squeeze every bit of performance out of your 2011+ Mustang 5.0L GT or 3.7L V6 without having to dig deeper in your pocket to add a supercharger, turbo, nitrous, etc. They drop in place in just a few minutes and still use the factory coil-covers and all

No tuning is required, these will drop right in place on any 2011+. We did it back-to-back on the dyno on the same day, same fuel, same dyno, same temperatures, etc. and didn't touch the tune. You'll be in good shape!

Benzo, the price shown is the best price, but with your MustangEvolution.com discount code, you'll get 6% off of that price with FREE same-day shipping!

Hope this helps, and let me know if you guys have any more questions about them!

Will a tune be better with these or different plugs to make use of the coils?

470 is a lot to pay for 10hp. Just not worth it to me.

Yeah it is that's why I asked can we get more power out of them if the car was tuned for the coils.

What exactly would you have them tune for?

It does sound like a lot, but so is an aftermarket CAI... not much improvement there, except for maybe a less restrictive and improved filtration in the filter, itself, over the stock paper filter. That WOT sound they create is cool. The most, if not all, gains are in the performance tune.

Axleback/Catback exhaust systems aren't cheap, but they may provide a little performance improvement... especially in their sound... weight reduction. Heck! Even the stock Tri-Y headers are very well designed and perform admirably. You are going to pay big bucks to do a little better with long-tube headers.

I don't see anything wrong with looking at these coil-on-plugs that maybe more efficient and provide minimal power gains over the stock units. I don't expect many bolt-ons to provide huge improvements over stock...
