New Member, New GT

Hi all. I'm new to the forum. I just picked up a 12 GT Brembo last week. I've never had a car like this but I've wanted one for a long time. I'm looking forward to learning about the car and the people that love them. I can't wait to start making mods.

I haven't had a chance to take many pictures but here is one from off the dealer lot when I first looked at the car.

Re: New Member, New GT

By the way, I'd love to hear suggestions for the first mods. From what I've read so far, it sounds like the 3.73 gears and a tuner would be a good start.

Re: New Member, New GT

I haven't found it specified anywhere so I'm assuming I have the stock gears. It isn't a C/S, it just has Accessory Package 5 which adds the louvers, side scopes, hood scoop, etc.

The side scoops is what made me think that.Your window sticker should tell you the gear, but if you want to know for sure go out to your car and look at the sticker on the rear end.Is it manual?Your vin can decifer it but the sure way is to go out and look and it will be on the diff. cover.A white sticker

It's on the door sticker. Look at it and report back and we'll tell you what it is. It'll be two letters

If you didn't pay extra for 3.73 I think stock manual is 3.55 and auto is 3.15.

Manual car first mods are clutch/tune. If going FI get 3.73 gears. If staying NA then 4.10 gears.

Re: New Member, New GT

Gears all depends on what you are doing with the car... Hard launches and short tracks... 4.10's are your money makers. For me being in Germany where higher top end for long distances is more important, 3.55's work perfect.

Re: New Member, New GT

I would stick with going 3.73 for a good all around street gear you can't go wrong.3.73 has always been known as a good street gear and not shaby at the track either. If you are gonna do alot of 1/4 mile runs I would look at around 3.90 b/c you will not have to shift again right before the traps.JMO but if you just looking to enjoy the car on the streets the 3.73 is great.
