Wheel decision, help me out!

Deciding between 2 sets of wheels for my black 2012 5.0. Deciding between the Vossen CV3's in the matte graphite finish or the 20 inch Shelby wheels from the SVT from a buddy with 0 miles on them. Anyone know if the SVT's will even fit??
Pictures of each...

I'd go for the SVTs. Why wouldn't they fit?

Re: Wheel decision, help me out!

well the vossens will be better looking, more rare and nicer... but at a higher price tag (ha the shelbys had best be FAR cheaper than them at least) so its basically... your price point.

also consider other customer wheel makers as you simply never know what wheel you will fall in love with.

look over what Steve has to offer at TrueForgedWheels as well.

True Forged Wheels custom billet

^ These?? Looks like a lot of choices there, but no info on pricing. Some of the designs are facepalm worthy as well...

Re: Wheel decision, help me out!

my wheels are from trueforgedwheels, some of the designs i dont like some I do.

the wheels will probably start around 2400-2600 a set depending (bare polished) and options of course add price~ just depends on what you want.

the one advantage of these wheels is you can set yoru offset and rim lip size etc, such as my rear lip is 4 inches where most are at most 2.25 inches or dont have them at all.

Its all about what you feel and what looks good on the car (they have to go together some wheels look bad on some cars and great on others) its all about context.

For me I love mine and they fit my body style great.

The SVT's would actually run me more if I was buying them from a dealer. My local dealership priced them right below 10 grand installed with tires, which is just insanity. So I'll probably go with the SVT's from my buddy just for the steal of a price.

I usually don't post, I just read and learn. But did you just say $10,000 for stock wheels and tires?

Re: Wheel decision, help me out!

that price is 100% crazy, you shouldnt even pay 300 each for those mass produced wheels...

plus ive seen those wheels for FAR cheaper with tires... what ever dealer that is RUN and NEVER go back they rare 100% trying to rip you off and consider you an idiot for even trying that sort of price on you.

Yeah I never had any intention of buying from them, I have access to the whole set for a grand through a friend. I just wanted to get an estimate of what Ford is pricing them at.

They have less than 100 miles on them, he ordered the CV3's the day he picked up his car from the dealer.

Re: Wheel decision, help me out!

Stock rims from a dealer are always expensive. One rim frosealer for my wife's old cobalt ss was 800 each.

Also look around the Shelby wheels are not cheaper. And the tires are expensive as well. It's the kind of tire..it is a super car tire.

---------- Post added at 09:30 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:28 PM ----------

And those stock rims are forged also..that another reason expensive.

For the Shelby svt or similar why not check AM? They have a pretty nice selection.
