Floor Mats and Dash Creak

Two things pony riders!

1. Just bought new digital fit floor mats from MacNeil Auto (Mats.com) I have them in my truck and I love them, never see or stain the carpet again. They finally came out for my (and maybe your) 2011 Mustangs, Great fit, incredible protection and reasonable price.

2. Bezel around my gauges creaks, if you press or pull you relieve the noise but it comes back, anyone suffer this?

I'll post photos of the mats when I get a chance, i do like them much!

I just got the same mats for my 2012 premium. They are really nice and I am glad I bought them, but I give the fit a grade B at best. There are some sizeable (1") gaps along the sides by the transmission tunnel.

I hear a rattle in my dash but only at highway speeds. I'll have to see if it's coming from my cluster bezel.

I have that too ... comes from my glovebox. Sometimes smacking it makes it go away for a little bit.

Weathertech does the best job with digital floor mats I've ever seen. I get them for every car I own. Hard plastic, indestructible and no way water or gunk ever touches the carpet. You'll be thankful a trade-in or sale time that you spent this money and put the stock mats in the closet.

I really like the Weathertech mats but this picture is reality on the fit....

Re: Floor Mats and Dash Creak

That's the first time I've ever seen fitment issues with these mats. Did you get the right post hole count? Looks like they need to go back a little further. Maybe there are some changes to the 11-12 floorpan that weren't announced and these were designed for 10s. I'm speculating. I've got these on the way to me anyway; I'll report out my experience when I receive them.

WeatherTech is top of the line.. You won't find one that fits better.. We sell them and husky and a few others at my work.. Got some about two weeks after I bought mine.. Fit perfect and the carpet is spotless! Also got them for the rear.. $100 for the whole set..

Yes I got the correct post hole count. The drivers side fits better but there is about a 1/4 inch gap just below the speaker grill. The rears fit perfectly. I'm not sure about floor changes but it does appear the the design may have changed slightly. As far as moving them around, they are pretty much locked in between the seat rails and the firewall.

My aftermarket mats that fit my '10 perfect did not fit my '11 at all. They did change something ...

Re: Floor Mats and Dash Creak

Got my Weathertechs today and the fit is: absolutely inch-perfect, as it always has been before. I leave these suckers in year round, because I don't have to vacuum them, lol

I have a '12 GT, btw.

Congratulations. I'm glad yours fit better. I guess I either have an odd vehicle or odd mats.

It's weird no doubt. I'd contact WT with your issue, maybe they'll be willing to do something. Maybe an early run or batch problem.
